aiya, so confused today, Wanted to LONG @7.64, but no guts. Then it went up to 7.84 wanted to short, still no guts. If I acted both decision, I am fat liao by now...sigh... so I guess sideline today lah, Nick I am with you! Cheers!

My broker told me that if I didn't cover back the short position, my account will be suspended.  On top of the Mkt price + 2, I have to pay a penalty of $30.  Is it true?

 

Naked SHort cannot buy back yourself leh....you can't do anything during the T+4. Your fate is in the hands of the CDP and the mkt!

 

Remember remember remember.....there's no way you can buy back at T+2 nor T+3.  CDP will buy back for you at current price + 2 bid price higher. This is like a punishment for those who do short selling. Please be exercise in cautions.

 

 

If naked short, after the transaction date, can you buy back yourself, ie you buy back yourself on T+2 or T+3  or do you have to actually wait for CDP to buy back for you on T + 4?

 

hehe. Thanks bro. Clear abt it already. Well. Today is T+3 day. It's either I buy back today if not, it'll be 2 more days of sleeplessness until T+4 on Mon.

 

Naked short means did not buy back the shares shorted at the end of the day. CDP will buy back for you T+4 at around 10-11am. No penalty, just higher brokerage. If you are doing 2-5 lots, you will not feel the difference. The "higher penalty" are the sleepless night you have to wait during the 4 days especially the 4th nights that you will pray hard that DOW drop like a stone....hehehe! Nick is a resident shorties, so he will not feel it and sleep as usual.....Nick today got idea to SHORT bo??? I will not be having any meeting today...hehehe!!!
