Any fundamental investor here? Can post your views why this is an excellent play? I am looking into this stock...interesting
don't really understand the rationale for the share buy back today at 0.135. unless the bulk of the 10mm+ buy q was largely from CNT itself and it got hit for 1mm+ shares.
And the buy-backcontinues!!
This is why most people avoid SGX as most of the time the company shares become great share sales if they are listed here...

downside -13.5c
upside IPO price 80c..
no risk no gain..
The key problems with this investment is the lack of appreciation of their services and assets.
How many of us here have travelled to the area and see how 'prime' is the land? Do Chinese people in nearby cities find it attractive? How is the pollution levels, traffic conditions, access to good schools? Is it viewed to be a place for the lower-mid class population or is it meant for party officials and the rich etc?
We have no idea!
Think about it - If I was developing Punggol in 1995 and I listed my company in China, I would attract investors by painting Punggol to be leisure waterfront town etc. I would claim that this is a niche and will be extremely popular to Singaporeans.
But we locals know that no one in the right mind would move in to Punggol when it was first built since it was the middle of no-where and it lacked many amenities initally. It only started becoming attractive a decade after it was built (benefitting the original buyers and not me). The company would have made poor profits since few people were interested and so a lower buying price. Investors back in China who knew nothing about Punggol would be scratching their heads as their investment in my company yielded poor results LOL.
If you ain't sure about their property and how Chinese people view it, its best to stay away. Lest, it might be a painful gamble.
Crazy liao... bid Q so high ?
IPO price was 0.80, but NAV was greatly reduced after the convertible bonds were issued
