Hi stewart
Jackjames was a "daydreamer" - hoping to buy @ 0.355cts on 22 Oct. Let him wait like a fox at the burrow till eternity. LMA is already out of the woods - the bashing was really overdone. Pse don't wait for LMA share buyback - doubt it will ever activate it. The managements of most companies don't activate their approved share buyback plans.
The Stock Market is a place to trade (buy & sell) after the IPO. There're all sort of Players - Day Traders, Contrarians, Hit&Run Players, Buy&hold till thy kingdom come, back-seat Investors, don't-know-how-to-sell Investors, 'Insiders' and 'Outsiders', Sentiment Teasers and cry-foul Investors................
Therefore, don't blame others if your portfolio isn't performing. In the very first place, you're the one who decide to buy or sell. The Stock Market is always dynamic and moves according to the Market's 'forces' or demand and supply. You can't win all the times. Therefore, if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen! You can 'cry-foul' all you want, the Market don't care and will keep coming at you.
A good Player must have the right frame of mind and be in-tune with the environments and don't expect the environments to 'agree' with you. ONLY FOOLS DIE IN THE STOCK MARKET!!!!!!!!! Cheers!
yeah, DOW up yesterday night.. okay, i queue 0.355, can get it? hee...
jackjames, with STI dropping over 100 points and LMA still closing at 0.365, think you chance are pretty slim.
As mentioned earlier, LMA should be quite out of the woods for now. HOLD-ON TIGHT
jackjames, judging from today's price movements, I think you may not get the chance - I think hikitty may be right. I am adopting a wait and see attitude. Still need to see LMA buy back at least some of its shares. Token also can ... just need that signal.
We still can see someone willing to throw at 0.355 at the very last minutes, heee heee heeee.....
With DOW JONE FUTURE index now dropping at 110 points, heee heee hee...
I am eyeing on this counter at 0.335 ( 6 max bids), anyone wants to throw to me?

Any selldown today is just a trick of "damned daily traders" who need to earn kopi $$$ to buy milk powder for their little ones!! Sorry, sometimes they get third degree burns and can't even afford to buy "tap water". Just as the 11 Sept inferno is part of history, why must 22 Oct commemorate a black Monday in the history of Dow Jones. A lame excuse for the short sellers ,"colluding" to make some kopi $$$
ten4one,
Well, it worked for me so far. Dun worrie, i am holding LMA for long. Vesting others that are being brutalized today. Loading up again.
potential can stay in green on such a day!
yokoosi, fears and greeds are the 2 'sentiments' that could cut both ways and only work very well with Traders. If you're a long term player, stay clear and stick to your fundamentals. If you fear the Market, you're afraid to buy, and if you're greedy, you'll never bring yourself to sell. If you hold, you simply do nothing, except to hold on to what you've and hope for the best. Cheers!
US Dow drop more than 300 pts last Friday, Mondy market will difinitely be down. Hold-on for another roller coaster ride! Don't panick.
Buy on fear and Sell on greed.
If I were you, I'd not be too concerned about black Monday. Of course, The STI would drop due to Market 'forces' - maybe a good opportunity to make some quick trades!
Hikitty, LMA may recover, but it'll still remain as a penny stock and that was my contention. ........Unless, LMA comes out with a much better product that could really sell and not that easy to copy, I'm afraid there isn't much of a chance for LMA not to remain as a Penny ..............and hopefully it'll not get worse! Cheers!
To all vested in LMA, it is only a matter of time before profits kick in. Patience is the virtue. Monday come, do not panic. Only the weak and those without holding power succumbs.
Hi stewart Goh
While Arisaig Asean Fund had sold abt 9 million shares , fortunately UBS bought 10million shares. It seems that no other fund has sold down, and its price should remain stable as from next week.. Doubt it would take between 3 and 6 years for LMA to recover, as LMA's earnings should improve as from 2008. Let's hope for the best for LMA on Monday as it will be the anniversary of America's "big crash" .(Don't be frozen to death in a deliberate sell down if it should happen.)
stewartgoh, I let go all mine on Friday, next week, surely you can see 0.34!
Heee....
The real test for LMA will be next week. If LMA comes off next week without falling further than the low of 34c with convincing volume, then I will buy back my shares. It is too soon to think that LMA is out of the woods yet from the brutal sellings by funds. Good luck to LMA shareholders!
Now you're talking some sense hikitty ' Fund Mgrs will notice when it starts to make $$$$.' Why LMA is not making $$$$ when the fundamentals are as good as you've said so often. Could it be The Fund Mgrs are using the wrong models for valuations or they're given the wrong set of numbers - strange isn't it?????
It is very true that a purchase is a purchase and on the same note, a sale is also a sale and that is called a Stock Market in action - willing Buyers, willing Sellers!
BTW, my definition of 'few' depends very much on your definition of 'penny stock'. It could vary from more than 2 years to less than 10 years! You could safely place your bet between 3-6 years. My sincere advice to you is don't bet on the 'gold mine' you perceived ! Be more realistic and bet on facts and figures and make your money works smartly! Cheers!
Hmm... 2nd try to reach 39c, but this time close at 37.5c. Volume is very good ... maybe this is a turnround for LMA. But I think I am not in a hurry to buy back my shares. I want to see LMA start its share buy-back first.
UBS AG notified LMA that it has bought 10 million shares. Whether it was UBS or UBS AG acting on behalf of its nominees, the fact remains there was a purchase. The fact that the biggest shareholder, Venner Capital SA with 186,397,885 shares did not unload any of its shares does show that "patience" is needed when investing in any company. The current downtrend for LMA should be treated as a storm before a lull. Its upturn should come when fund managers start to notice it when it starts to make $$$$
