Selling volume is very low thus easy to bring up the price.

Order book is very thin. That is why the price is declining. Its 1.4 cents final dividend will give support but after that it will continue its decline unless new contracts are found

Dividend amount might be big if profit is good.

Yesterday only 70 lots done, today worse only 11 lots as of now....

Sell and stay away for a while may be a better choice now.

Lets not forget a dividend yield that would exceed 10% haha !!!

I suppose the only problem with the company is that it's order book is shrinking rapidly.

This company has generated positive free cash every year for the past 5 years.

Paying 26 cents for a company that has 20 cents net cash per share (and is generating more)...this sounds like a no-brainer.

This correction has really uncovered some great bargains.

So, BUY? HOLD? SELL?

AdvaHldings is a order-book driven company. Such companies depend on winning new projects/contracts consistently in order to maintain their sales. Examples would be ship-building companies or O&G companies like Keppel. As such, in light of the highly cyclical nature of the petroleum industry, Adva Hldings needs to maintain a large cash-hoard as a shield when the tide shifts in the other direction.

This company is so cash rich and not using it at all, wonder if the management could distribute some of its cash to the shareholders?

Question 1:

Are you aware of any information not previously announced concerning you (the

issuer), your subsidiaries or associated companies which, if known, might explain the

trading?

Company’s response to Question 1:

The group is constantly seeking M&A opportunities in the normal course of business.

Currently, the Company is negotiating a M&A deal in China. The Company has just

begun discussion and the outcome of the negotiation remains uncertain. As at even

date, no conclusion has been reached. The Company will, in accordance with its

obligations under the listing rules, release announcement as and when appropriate if

there is any binding agreement entered into for the deal.

In the meantime, the Board would like to advise shareholders and the investing

public that this announcement is not to be taken as an indication of the merits of the

Company, its subsidiaries or their securities and the shareholders and investing

public should exercise extreme caution in the dealing of the shares of the Company.

Save as disclose above, the Board is not aware of information not previously

announced concerning the Company, its subsidiaries or associated companies which,

if known, might explain the trading.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Wonder what is the outcome of the M&A discussion in China?

I have attended a  lot of co AGM, Dr Wong is among all, one of the most honest and humble as I listen. He is very cautious and that is why this co is a good for parking your long term investment. Just my own personal view.

They should be giving their 1.4 cent dividend when they announce their results. It is over 10% dividend yield for a company whose net cash/share is 19.9 cents LOL.

The problem is that their business is highly unpredictable and dependent on contract wins. Their order book is dwindling away and I fear that their CEO might be too cautious for his own good. The company has $60 million cash and yet they are not utilizing it to grow the company...

Well, seems like your previous estimate is not realistic is near future given the current situation. the selling pressure is high. But hopefully the end of year financial report is able to bring up the confidence in this counter. I think the right decision is certainly to hold on rather than succumb to the selling pressure.
