Consolidation is normally used to make money by " insiders" because it has more " juice" to trade down from higher to lower. Are you the insiders or are you the outsiders?

At first, why consolidate?

Second, any good example after consolidation for S-chip stock?

To hankok, just too many share to issue right, so need to consolidate 10 to 1 to issue right for business expansion.

Expand busiess? to China S-chip, do you believe them will take money to expand or take money to run and spend????

And do not forget about the consolidation exercise, which always tends to be a drag on any stock, no matter the fundamentals. I forgot to write CE in my earlier post. For me, I finally decided against collecting until the px goes to 6cts and below despite initially opining to collect again after seeing the financial statements. Will sit on my current LT holdings for now.

You have to decide. But prepare for the worst. You can ask yourself what you will do if Hankore's price trends down over the next few days. If you will feel lousy and agitated then you may not want to buy this stock since that is very possible, as in any stock. On the other hand, if you are buying for value and are prepared to wait for the stock to reflect that, you will not be worried by the day to day px movements, however agitating it may be, even if hypothetically, the px goes all the way to 5cts.

Hmmm, ya noe wad u mean but isnt the price now still low? Still below 10cents for a stock like hankore worthwhile to hold and sleep well? Stock like mirach seem dead and doomed liao and im thinking whether to switch that portion over or not. Then wait till 2015. Or wait for mirach. Which is better option

Please do not chase the price. There is still the consolidation hangover. Right now, market is elated because of the financial results and the general market sentiments today, which is buoyant. The worst mistake one can make is buy when there is an uptrend in the hope of selling higher. But then again, it is your money so you can do what you want. Try to manage your risk/s though..

Caveat Empto

Hahaha, glad to see you happy now.

Must be careful.   Throw away the lousy shares and use the same amount of money from the proceeds for more solid and promising shares.   Never " tambar" more money in the stock market than your original investments because that will mean overtrading.   Lol.

Bro, if it later cheong up, then I'll decide whether to stay out or re-enter. At least I got a choice. If I keep holding and knowing the future for this counter  is still very uncertain, I'll rather hedge my bet and cut loss first...

Spivvy      ( Date: 12-Nov-2013 12:12) Posted:

woa bro, not kek sim ah? 8 pips equal to 1.6k nia, ok lar a small loss. Considering you wont know what will happen loss a bit better than you cut later  loss alot. But  if cheong up how? Wont u Feel more shitty? Sianz.

I don't have that much leverage lol.. Around half of that. Was a calculated trade. If it went wrong my bank account might have been drained. Was very risky but the odds were that there would be strong rally today. So used three brokerage accounts to buy. Don't follow this tactic. I promised myself never to do something like that ever again.

Spivvy      ( Date: 14-Nov-2013 12:54) Posted:

Ccx must have covered your innopac paper losses liao. Assuming u buy 5000 lots hankore at 6.3 you would have made 20k sum.

My broker asked me to vest in this counter early this week  saying he is 60% confident on  hankore's result.    so I loaded in a small amount.

Thank you.. I channeled the profits into a Chinese construction and property development company called WeiYe. Another china play and currently trading at a discount to its NAV. With rising property prices and a vibrant economy, WeiYe is set to blaze the growth path.

But am a little apprehensive about the plenum meeting in china because they may announce promptly cooling measures which might affect the company's top and bottom lines negatively so just bought a little first. :)

Now, at least you can clear your mind and concentrate on other counters without having got to worry about consolidation and what will happen after that.

Congrats, bro.   So you won't be competing with fellow shareholders for food anymore, right?   Heave of relief for some, hahaha!
