master gaecia..

let me try..

take a look at jardine's price at jan when STI hit 32++..

i think its price now is $1 more than tat time

US will not default. The world can't afford it.

The odd thing with STI is it has clawed back to a decent 3140 level but somehow many of the 30 component stocks mid caps and  big blue chips  hadn't recovered as much as the broad index (pre-drop level).  Just how is STI maintained, can somebody help to fill in this blank?

haha ride the rally and profit watever profit is there for taking.

take note of 2nd aug though..US debt ceiling...

jardine has gone up alot.

kepcorp, noble  and sembcorp both showing signals of possible reversal

ocbc has bounced off from $9 and this week form a  huge bull candle

muifan      ( Date: 01-Jul-2011 22:44) Posted:

Good point here..US will not default.

I am just worried BBs might take the opportunity to send panic again just like the Greece scenario kekeke...

STI rally has to be selective bullish counter and must be heavy weights...

SGX, SIA, banks

well some traders or investors don't see this as average down. or raher, they term this as buying in batches

iPunter      ( Date: 01-Jul-2011 20:16) Posted:

Averaging down does not make sense, because

ones' existing positon has already become a problem.

If one then opens another new position (ie add on)

one is effectively creating a new problem for oneself

even before the existing problem is resolved.

Thus, by avergaing down, one makes one's problem

into an even bigger problem... Smiley

One very common pratice of newbies as well

as veterans is to average up. People average

down because they are " mm kan guan" with losing.

Averaging up is done because people are very

confident about the stock's direction, they buy

more to maximise their profits. Both practices

are only for rich people to play, since they can

afford to lose money if the market goes down... Smiley

Have a good wkend everyone!  You too, ipunter expert.

See ipunter.. i dunno how to punt, still stuck with this  u96 today... well nvmd thin vol day. Hope there'll be a pullback to save me and my  s51.  The closing figures (whichever day it is) i realise are  often  misleading, no?  Smiley 53    What's your take ipunter, how does uncle bon share with you the significance of closing?

Anyway today i made back from Wilmar exactly what i missed out on for selling prematurely yesterday.  Shorted it  from 5.49 covered at 5.44 in late trade,  a small range's  enough for me as an  intraday tutorial. Not greedy  &   kiasi.
