It'll be good if the charts in SJ can be printed out.  Can anybody tell me how this can be done?

Thank you and Merry X'mas and a Happy New Year to one and all!

The volume seems decent to sustain the price raise on Friday.

With the new revise bid schemes in force on 24th Dec, we will see a less volatile price changes to take place. Will take a longer time to reach my target price....

China Cosco Boosts Profit Forecast on Shipping Demand (Update1)

By Jiang Jianguo and Clare Cheung

Dec. 20 (Bloomberg) -- China Cosco Holdings Ltd., Asia's largest container line, boosted its profit forecast for this year because of improved demand for shipping services. The shares rose.

China Cosco gained 4.5 percent to HK$23.15 as of 10:24 a.m. in Hong Kong, after earlier climbing as much as 7.7 percent. The stock has surged more than fivefold this year, beating the 36 percent advance of the benchmark Hang Seng Index.

Net income will probably jump ninefold this year to 18 billion yuan ($2.44 billion), according to a China Cosco statement to Shanghai's stock exchange today. Profit is likely to be 50 percent higher than a forecast of 12.17 billion yuan made in September, based on international accounting standards, the company said.

``Dry-bulk shipping will be the main profit driver for the company,'' Stella Kei, a Hong Kong-based analyst at UOB Kay Hian Ltd. ``The market looks good for 2008 and 2009 on strong demand for iron ore and coal from China and India.'' The company will probably include the dry-bulk unit in its fourth-quarter earnings results, said Kei.

The Baltic Dry Index, a measure of chartering rates for different sized vessels, fell 1.6 percent to 9,591 yesterday. The index hit a record close of 11,039 on Nov. 13.

The container-shipping line agreed in September to buy 412 dry-bulk vessels for 34.6 billion yuan from its parent to tap rising imports of iron ore, coal and grain. China's surging economy has helped dry-bulk rates more than double this year.

China Cosco said Dec. 18 it got regulatory approval to sell 864.3 million shares to parent China Ocean Shipping (Group) Co. to buy the world's largest fleet of dry-bulk ships. It also plans to sell 432.7 million new shares to as many as 10 institutional investors.

The company posted a third-quarter profit of 664 million yuan and sales of 12.5 billion yuan, helped by surging exports of furniture, toys and clothing. The company listed shares in Shanghai in June.

Yeah, tis burger is now on it's uptrend ladder I believed, it had crossovered the Bollinger Band's lower boundary and reversed on Wednesday, the Stochastic signalled upswing as well, although Fibo Line 61.8% ($5.27) had been broken but all other indicators helped pull it back into the lower band, I think it's time to enter, time to average my holding, vested.

I believe Cosco is about to turn round in a few days or even today. There have been Buy ups in big lots today. Price is close to touching the 200-day Moving Average which could trigger the rebound. Stochastic is oversold and looks bottoming up. Same for RSI.

COSCO is ready for slaughter this afternoon. Large lots selling before noon close. Nikkei turned red from green in the morning. HSI still green but dropped from previous high. Watch this space, and be careful, COSCO could go either way. Short term oversold which we saw rebound from yesterday afternnon low of 5.15 and this morning, but may turn course due to mkt sentiment. Long term like what elf said, no clear sign. Good luck!

nd to break 6 to confirm uptrend, pref 6.2. some feeble buying. candlesticks show appear to be reversing short term. but be careful; vols are thin so large movements are possible. some large lots selling. toss a coin, babies. long term lag indicator macd is actually down.

man i love this game.

so yeps mediacraze, concur with yr reading.

alternate to the mother stock, the daughter call to consider: COSMBLeCW080204. note i never convert warrants; i only trade 'em babies.

caveat emptor applies as usual. not an inducement to buy/sell.

cheers! :)

Yesterday volume is quite substainial considering this period of time. It seems to form a double bottom with equal amount of volume traded. Of which both tested the resistance of $5.75 and $5.2.

If market picks up a few good news, I'm assuming this baby to return $6 ~ $6.2 by Christmas...
