Exactly. Nowadays, must not believe their TP, only to be used as reference point . Then do our own homework and look at market trend, then decide.

 

i guess is really good time to short...too bad ..i cant do it for the next few days..

 

those analysts TP all wrong...anyway..the market is irrational now la...also can't blame them...u never know if the next moment those TP will be hit...downwards...hehee~ hmmm...over $9 mark this morning...will it stay afloat? hMmm....

 

Furiously aggressive this morning!  If this continues, analysts again will adjust TP. Wow, I should have worked as one.....

anyway,  wat u said is correct, but provided you short and clear it by 5pm on the day itself and the commission remain the same. unless u do naked short, then that would be different story.

is the profit $4,000.00 exclude charges.

btw, charges is how much ???? is it  has to be sold and brought on that day??Am i right???

Yo eBird you might want to keep track of your trades if possible cause sometimes mistakes do occur. Hehe sometimes they hold your money without you noticing, so if you trade alot, you might want to have a portfolio or something.

 

 

thanks idesa and eldarchen. My that short happened actually a few weeks ago but i guess i never hear anything so nm lah.. if i needed to have topped up my broker would have rung me. I guess the extra $$ went to my other losses....

 hm.. wonder how SGX/FTSE will be tomorrow.. dow in red than green than red.. almost as fast as my heart beat... mkt now scary
 

 

Yo E-Bird try calling after T + 4, your dealer will be able to give u an exact figure cos the report comes after T + 4. Also remember comm for naked short is 0.75 and other charges also, so do not be surprised if the figure is different.

Btw Ideas do u get to see counter party if u use iOcbc?

 

Hi bird, what a nick...hehehe!

For my case, I knew I made from my 2 lots bcos at T+4 SGX was trading way below my shorts. Hence I did not bother to check with my broker about that and waited for the statement to arrive in my letter box. Infact, when I received the statement, I also did not see the detail bcos I see only the bottom numbers which is $1,168.86. I dun usually look at statements from my iOCBC bcos I trade often and every trade they will send my statement from the broking house as well as CDP statement. I have tons of them if I have to read all of them.

I suggest you give a ring to your broker and check with him if you are concern. I think if there is a top up needed, it will be shown in the "Account" window. T+4 will be good to ask him and I believe he will be able to advise you. Cheers.

when you naked short, when did they tell you about your profits? I naked short and i think i make money not sure cos of the higher commission by SGX but i never hear from them if need to fork out or i can pocket. Cannot be exact right?

Hi bears and other brothers, this seow burger really us mad. No free beer for me tonite leow, fingers itch and didn't expect it cheong so fast immediately after lunch. Those burgers pre Q Seller price in steps thus I couldn't even got time to note down the changes and volumn done on each bit traded. Alamah, tomorrow how to treat this seow counter, really no prediction from me, blur leow.

Nonetheless other blue chips like both Keppers and SPC done well today, ok lah, good consolation already.

 

The break of 8.85 was not convincing enuf.... just touching 8.87 and drop almost immediately. I dun consider this a break. Now we shall consult Uncle Jones tonight! it closed down at $8.80...from 4.59pm price of $8.86...hmmm...some hope?
