I am eagerly waiting for GenSp results.

If there is a earnings surprise, it may repeat the August 13 performance.

That was how I started out !

$100 or $200 everyday. Then slowly gain confidence and improve trading skills from there.

Try to make it a goal of making $100 or $200 every day.

It will be a good start and helps to boost your confidence  Smiley

Pullback by DJIA, S&P 500 overnight may prompt investors to take profits on Singapore shares after yesterday’s strong run-up, which lifted STI to highest level since January 2008, +1.9% at 3,300.40.

Support for benchmark eyed at yesterday’s 3,257 intraday low. Local corporate earnings will continue to be in focus, with Sembcorp Industries (U96.SG), Armstrong Industrial (A14.SG) among latest to report results.

Neptune Orient Lines (N03.SG), ST Engineering (S63.SG) may also be closely watched following release of container shipping group’s latest 4-week operating data, engineering group’s $370 million worth of airframe heavy maintenance contracts.

“There’s a fair bit of corporate developments to drive market activity, although Wall Street’s pullback may prompt investors to first digest some of yesterday’s strong gains before the uptrend resumes,” says trader at local brokerage.

The following companies may have unusual price changes in Singapore trading today, say Bloomberg and Thomson Reuters. Share prices are from the previous close. Singapore’s Straits Times Index rose 1.9% to 3,300.40 yesterday.

Bulk-shipping companies: The Baltic Dry Index, which measures the cost of shipping commodities, fell 0.5% in London yesterday, the longest losing streak since the period ended Sept 24. Cosco Corp. Singapore (COS SP), a China-based shipbuilder that also operates bulk carriers, gained 3.5% to $2.06. STX Pan Ocean Co. (STX SP), South Korea’s biggest bulk carrier, climbed 1.6% to $15.

Palm-oil suppliers: Crude palm oil for January delivery increased 2.6% in Kuala Lumpur yesterday to the highest level in more than two years. Golden Agri-Resources (GGR SP), an Indonesian planter listed in Singapore, surged 11% to 78 cents. Wilmar International (WIL SP), the world’s biggest palm-oil trader, gained 0.6% to $6.73.

Keppel Land (KPLD SP): The real-estate unit of Keppel Corp. said it will issue $500 million of unsecured convertible bonds. The convertible bonds will have a term of five years and will be convertible into new Keppel Land ordinary shares, it said. Keppel Land jumped 5.4% to $5.05.

Oversea-Chinese Banking Corp. (OCBC SP): The lender that owns Singapore’s biggest life insurer was raised to “buy” from “hold” at BNP Paribas, which said the company was the “clear- cut winner” among Singapore’s banks during the third-quarter reporting period. Lets have a short and simple lesson in economics though. And you will know what is my favourite sector now.

We all know that resources are limited. There is only so much oil, metal, soil and land, water etc. There is only so much food that can be grown per year on limited land. There is only so much oil, metal, wood and rare earth resources that can be harvested per year.

Limited resources, but abundant cash from QE2.

What is going to happen when all that cash starts chasing after limited resources?

Supply and demand comes in.

So you know now.
