Have you sold off all your MIT already ?
If you have the holding power, you can actually hold to get the dividend. There's a promise of 7% dividend by MapleTree. |

I experience it before... u dun realised meh....when stock rally, US currency usually fall....and look in OCT .US currency still got abt 1.34 like that, now it became 1.288
KNS in OCT i contra 50lots with a 1 cent profit which is oni a few day... yet oni get back abt S$90 ....
Last yr i bought LVS that time with the currency at abt 1.45.... U said leh.... 1 yrs the currency drop 10%....to now 1.288..... I will be fighting against 2 side war....Luckily still can win....

Can i just ask. Why do you guys say buy genting HK will lose in forex? Is it really that much? Because if you buy 10 lots and it rises 0.05 cents. Don't u at least earn a few hundred?

Blaze u are stll young and has plenty of time to learn....
Firstly u got to learn how to see chart and candles....there is alot of indicator to help u determind what will be the next movement...U will have more confident in ur trade. Actually that time i have also bought MIT too at 1.16 and sold at 1.17 with oni a cent profit... If i did not sell it 1.17, i will at least sell near market close at 1.15 as its candle showed a shooting star (Long tail) not a good sign....
Secondly set aside ur money with 2 portion loh...1 in longer term and 1 in short term loh.... like ur Genting HK if is a good stuff...don't ditch it...keep long term....
Like BT too, i think he does keep Genting SP for long term... Best is u have both technical and fundamental analysis..... |

NOW I REMEMBERED WHAT HAPPENED! i came out of meeting at 1405! so i quickly log into poems to watch. then when i went to the live price page, i got a shock cause nothing was moving. so i refresh and refresh and refresh. thinking my comp hang or something.
then suddenly i saw the MIT start jumping. then i typed 1.16 buy. but by the time i finish typing, it was 1.19, so i bought at 1.19 and withdraw my 1.16. then i sat there thinking why after so many refresh then the price started jumping. then i went to see my order transactions. order filled at 1403. then i realised my company clock was FAST!!! and i wasted precious time refreshing the stupid poems thinking my comp hang. after that incident i always look at clock before i transact.

analysis is useless without the guts and confidence to act upon it. is not i timid, but in a net loss position, quite hard to take risk personally. esp when the last risk i took MIT, set me back a lot. if i trading with profits, i will be in a better situation to take more risk. i guess that is human mentality, own money will not want to take much risk. but profits, easy come easy go. lol

O.Olll I Tot 3rd Quarter result for Genting HK was already out for at least 1-2week ago liao...and is very postive.... Are u ZZZZZ... kekeke

Looks like i have made the same mistake as you .. selling on and off.. reducing the entire profit, not to forget the commission you have to pay is much more if you do it that way.
Now i am holding GenSP till result day ... also i am hoping to buy more on dip ... but it seems that there's not much dip..
By the way, when will the Q3 result be out for Genting HK? |

ya. i made the mistake of selling genting sp too early. i realised if i had just kept the 7 lots i got at 2.08, i would have paper profits of close to 2k + happiness now. however i in out in out in out, which gave me a payout of only 500+ excitement therefore the utility of 500+ excitement < 2k + happiness so i decided to keep hk until results release. then depending on the US dollar, i might continue holding it. after calculation, as long as the dollar remains above USD 1.2 to SGD 1, i will profit at the price level above .515. i need it to move by 30cents to fully recoup my losses. or to wack in my entire savings and pray it goes up by another 10 cents after SP release results. quite a headache deciding how much to risk to recoup my losses. quite keen to enter AGR tmr provided it does not gap up. RSI for AGR trending down, good volume with doji. uncertainty about the results. with fast stochactics going down. if tmr black in the mid day, i 60% jump in!

Try to make it a goal of making $100 or $200 every day. It will be a good start and helps to boost your confidence

bt where you check all the release timing for results? i want to find out the timing for sp agr then decide if i want to take up a few lots

I'm sorry. What do you mean by EOD play? For example if i bet on the results.. how do i go about selling it? Do i need to get a trading platform with autosell features so it can sell for me at highest price? Is there even such a thing? Would it be the stop loss function?
For now i have to manually monitor when i want to sell stocks leh.. abit too troublesome at work.. especially when i spend whole day looking.. but not actually entering the market.

There's no way one can perform well in one's job if there's no focus... Thus employers will naturally take a dim view of very active stock players. The best thing for working people is daily EOD play, which entails diligent study after working hours, rather than spending time on TV, chit-chats, and other time-wasting activities.
