Phillip Securities upgrades Noble (N21.SG) to Buy vs Hold, raises target to $2.33 vs $1.96, lifts earnings forecasts for FY10, FY11, FY12 by 15%, 7.5%, 7.2% to US$489.9 million ($631 million), US$731.8 million and US$888.1 million respectively.
House positive on group’s long-term prospects. Says Noble performed above-expectations in 3Q, particularly in Agriculture segment. Adds, increase in tonnage volume for Agriculture, recovery of margins positive for Group.

“Though FY10 results, in our opinion are still likely to come in weaker as compared to FY09 due to a weaker 1H10. We are comforted with what we are seeing in this quarter and expect earnings growth to be stronger in FY11, as the global economy recovers coupled with the bulk of the Group’s new assets and business expansion becoming operational with full contributions then.”

Shares +1.9% at $2.17.

You will still owe the company money if you over-leveraged and the stock moves against you.

I told you people have gone bankrupt playing with CFDs.

I mean I don't owe the company any money if I lose all $500 right? As long as the loss > $500 all gone that's all. Nothing else right

If you got $500 cash in CFD, you are able buy more than $500 worth of stock. But the "extra limit'' is sort of borrowed from the securities firm. If you use their money and loss, you will owe them money.

Ha? The CityIndex no need collateral? I didn't sign anything except deposit $500. You mean I will owe the company if the share plunge to death?

haha agree with BT - it is not some game you can play with.

For example, I would declare bankcruptcy if my major CFD stocks plunged down to lower than 20-25% of their current value.Worst is if they also declare bankcruptcy!!!

Of course I wouldnt want that to happen to myself so i trade in companies with long term prospective. Can not anyhow cheong!

Olam International (O32.SG) fiscal 1Q net profit likely +34.2% on-year at $25.5 million, revenue likely +5.8% on-year at $2 billion, according to Dow Jones poll of three analysts.

July-September usually seasonally weaker quarter for Olam as harvest of major crops starts in October. Still, earnings likely boosted on organic growth, contribution from previous acquisitions.

More keenly eyed: Market awaits outcome of Olam’s discussions with Louis Dreyfus Commodities for possible merger. “We turn cautious on Olam after a strong run on market interest in the possibility of a merger with Louis Dreyfus,” Nomura says in report, terming the earnings as a likely “non-event.”

Olam to report 1Q earnings on Nov. 11 after market close.

totally agree. greed hurts..  better kia xi for quick profit than nothing

Just be careful with CFD. The more you hold, the more you are exposed to market volatility. Sometimes you trade outside your means.

At some point i felt like i was actually gambling instead of investing. That s when i pulled out and tried to cool my head. =) greed consumes people!!!
