Actually, when you go to supermarket to buy Abalones, those canned ones- the premium ones come from places like Mexico and Australia....rather than China...That is my observation.......... Perishable products are a high risk business....
Anyway the death of abalones would have been a key risk for the Risk Management Committee to implement measures to mitigate it...Hopefully, they buy some insurance for it...
No need to sack lar...... maybe gone forever liao !!! If company close shop !!

Let's not get too emotional, it's not within anyone's control over the farming.
Imagine those who have bought and dumb-found the next day when trading halt.
Also, nothing we can do about to the mocking, stay chill ya :)
I believe that the best thing to do now is not to fret about the situation but just treat the holdings as long term investments. Afterall, the original purpose of buying Oceanus is the believe that Abalone business is the best " exotic" food business that will bring in good profits in the long run. So stay invested even though there are ups and downs of running this business. I also invested few hundred lots but my average price was not that high..though still above 5 cents..
Yesterday even CIMB come out a report saying this saga similar to 2011 case where Oceanus came out a report to say majority of their selffish died......if now Oceanus think not similar than it must quickly come out a announcement to calm down investors...

Dun worry I think Oceanus still got assets to borrow loan to start all over again and make the business profitable , Chinese like to eat abalones this culture cannot change too much , Osim last time also penny stock look at it now ....., I think ppl will buy abalones to eat more often than buy massage chair ....
