does  dbs vickers'  system  detects  client's  shorting  and  issues such a timely warning to client at the time of shorting ?

To all who want to short.... this is from DBS Vickers Dear Mr XXX, Due to the penalty imposed by CDP , please note that we do not encourage shorting. Client will have to buy back the shares on the same day and inform us by 5.30PM (on the same day) via our helpdesk if they were to short accidentally.

Well, bladez , u r not alone !! It happen to all of us too ! We have to pay a high px before we can earn back, that's stock market lor !!  Good luck too all of us !!

basket, wanted to enter at 2.11 and sell at 2.16 just now, but cause all my savings in GAR, i had to call my mom to take a loan, end up missing the stop at 2.11.

due to greed, jump in at 2.15, and now stuck with the baby.

how many times must i get punished cause of my greed then i will learn. once i missed my entry, there is no point chasing the ride liao.

then GAR also another case of jumping in and now caught, bought at .78.

genting hk wanted to sell, but was hoping that people will wise up that hk =/= sp, then end up now regret never sell morning at high and buy back at low.

but genting SP T_T, why didnt i just contra at 2.11, would have covered my losses in GAR.

i am sharing a lot of my thoughts and actions on my journey of stock trading. i am sure a lot of you reading this also behaved like me in some ways.

let us learn from my mistakes, so that you will not repeat them.

i am the avatar of emotional trader wannabe, that loses money in every trade, holds onto the losses, and sells the winners too early. many of us newbies behave this way, so by posting, it will serve as a reminder to myself, and others who read it, will at some point remind me of what i did before thereby avoiding repeating the same mistake.

 Cheers to all.

There's nothing wrong with treating the stock market as a casino...

Because in reality, it is a good and interesting casino.

provided one bets sensibly and with maturity.

These traits need to be painstakingly and dedicatedly cultivated.

                 because there's no short-cut... Smiley

Not to worry... you are not alone.

Actually, this happens to all people, old and young.

Even after they having been playing stocks for many many years,

They will still go on doing the same things again and again..

But this is only human nature...

How else do you expect human beings to behave otherwise?.. Smiley

Very good reflection. Bladez87. Smiley

i went thru this, knew the lesson but still commit the same old mistake at times. But now abit more controlled. At least now i do cut loss and take profit even if it is lesser than the peak.

You might want to paste this lesson infront of your computer as a reminder. Smiley

RSI and Stochastics indicates a huge sell down trend. Good luck to those who bought genting at the high . Hang in tight.. if you contra-ed and ur T day is by today/ monday .. i suggest you get out now and put a stop loss price at about 2.12..  2.12 and 2.13 are the closest support.. so once breached.. gg.unless BB comes in to place a new support.

Goods new though .. Parabolic SAR indicates that it is still on the uptrend.. halfway point between falling prices and parabolic sar is about 2.259. For those who decide to enter the market, 2.10 may be a good price and the tp for you should be 2.25 or 2.26 in the near future. Please chart it yourself and read the news and keep urself updated.. i'm not trying to give you tips whatsoever.. i just merely state  facts and finding the path of least resistance. Buy or sell it is ultimately still your conviction. Please do your planning carefully and don't chase ... plan for the future and/or the next rebound. The risk/rewards ratio for you to earn that few spread as compared to a major meltdown is not worth it.....

Disclaimer* i am neither a certified consultant nor a financial advisor. My views are based on my own knowledge and experience accumulated after countless of hours of trading and reading. Decision to buy or sell should be solely base on your own purchasing power and risk appetitte as well as your convictions. Please use the facts wisely and trade soundly :D cheerios
