I was considering offloading but then i think nvm. I just hold all the way till next year. But i'm not talking about stocks like genting or gar. I'm holding some penny stocks. Cannot decide between cut loss or just ride out the storm...

DJ MARKET TALK: Deutsche Bank Raises SGX To Buy; S$10.50 Target
11/18/2010 9:36:00 AM

0136 GMT [Dow Jones] STOCK CALL: Deutsche Bank upgrades Singapore Exchange (S68.SG) to Buy from Hold, lifts target price to S$10.50 vs S$8.55 after changing valuation methodology to dividend discount model vs P/E basis. Expects securities market turnover to increase with greater take-up of high-frequency trading in Singapore. Says proposed merger with ASX (ASX.AU) has merit, with deal expected to generate roughly S$82 million in "base-case" annual revenue for SGX. Estimates trading of BHP Billiton (BHP.AU), Rio Tinto (RIO.AU) shares during 2-hour gap between Australian close and London open could boost SGX's proforma revenue by 4.0%-6.0%. Shares +0.3% at S$8.84. (frankie.ho@dowjones.com) Contact us in Singapore. 65 64154 140; MarketTalk@dowjones.com

DJ MARKET TALK: Nomura Upgrades Olam To Buy Vs Neutral
11/18/2010 8:41:00 AM

0041 GMT [Dow Jones] STOCK CALL: Nomura upgrades Olam International (O32.SG) to Buy vs Neutral, raises target to S$3.90 vs S$3.40; house bullish on Gabon ventures, "on attractive margins, secure feedstock supplies, adequate risk management," Olam's execution record in Africa, M&A and also government support. Says ventures could contribute around 15% of EBITDA in 5-6 years; due to tax incentives, may have even bigger contribution to bottom line. Conservatively estimates US$223 million EBITDA from projects in FY15F, 30% below Olam's estimates. Adds, risks mainly on execution, though "Olam has planned several steps to mitigate risks, including equity participation by the government, political risk insurance cover, and environmental certifications." Also says, Olam has underperformed over past month, even excluding value of new projects, offers 10% upside at current levels; remains positive on prospects of possible Dreyfus deal, "which could be a further re-rating catalyst." Shares closed down 2.8% at S$3.09 Tuesday. (matthew.allen@dowjones.com) Contact us in Singapore. 65 64154 140; MarketTalk@dowjones.com
