Bro novice, you are absolutely right. But to short requires full time monitoring which only those full time traders can do so.  It is very difficult for people like me to  do so because we have to work.  Besides that, intraday is very difficult to make money. I have tried a few times before. If using CFD may be easier. Another negative point of shorting is that one has to pray hard that the counter don't halt. The money one makes from shorting a few counters may not be sufficient to cover the losses from halted counters. I will prefer to either be selective in stock picking or sit aside until market recovers.  It is individual style of playing. No right  or wrong.

Thanks for ur always advising me to learnt bro kelvin... I'm actually trying to read up on trading in the internet at the moment at this wee hour... There is nothing to bluff here bro, especially when one has his head way under water at the moment, trying hard to break free and stay afloat again, hope to fly like a bird like some bros here. I'm always learning and trying to sharing in Share Junction. True, u will find some good advice here in SJ and also some bad advice as well... Anyway, hope everybody is doing good trading in this stormy market. The way it goes as of now, Dow jones DOWN again, think next week will be another round of killing again... Cheers bros! Huat ah!

By all means , go and get yourself educate , in trading, FA, TA etc.

dont listen to any so call sifu here, if they are good, they wouldn't be here,

invest in yourself first, before u invest in the mkt.

the best investment is in yourself, not sinarmas, for now.
