Thanks for yur reply. Will thinking of selling off later in the afternoon if price is good. However if not entitled to dividend if i sell off today, then I will hold on.

hehee~ Kate...this is all part & parcel of trading...its good to have profited already..shld be wearing a smile on ur face ...

on charts wise...if today close above the current level..it will be great for a better upside...anyone still remember the meltdown recently for Cosco? it opened at $3.18 (if i dun remember wrongly)..and it was the intra-day highest...after that it slipped all the way down...thus now we are already above this $3.18 mark...i should be quite a strong psychologically support

You hold the share while it is CD or Cum Dividend, you will get the dividend, provided you hold on and only sell on XD or Ex-dividend and beyond. Cosco XD today, so if you have been holding the share until today, you will get the 7 cents divvy.

 

Dividend is payable to you if you sell Cosco today but if you sold  last Friday, you will not get dividend. Can someone please confirm.

 

kate_laker...jux a suggestion: u probably need to calculate the number of lots u buy, is it worth the brokerage charges or not..so at least next time with the higher number of lots u buy..u can sell it off at a lesser margin without worrying too much on the brokerage charges eating into ur profits

TODAY is XD for cosco, so you DO NOT get dividend if you choose to sell today.

Shorting Kepcorp and Venture???, die k............ s leow. If you shorted Kepcorp at its peak B at 11.68 around noon, then you may recover 1152/11.54 around passed 1600hrs, as there was blocking at 11.50. If you short Venture, chia lak, if I am not mistaken it shoot up and stay there. As this joker was sidebyside with Kepcorp, I notised it roughly. I longed Kepcorp today.

Tomorrow normally is a good day for shortist but yet still need to select the correct stock to play leow. Gook luck loh.

 

This morning the big buyer was there up to lunch time. Price was 3.10/3.11.  Afternoon, no sign of this BB from 2:00 to 3:15... i got worried.  I exited at 3.07...  later big seller continues... then short selling... some buying but no strength... finally just collapse through to 2.98.   I think below 2.90 should be entry point to go long

 

sigh, regardless of market performance. so bo pian lo. see heng or suay lo.
