Although we talk here about being 'technical',
one must realise that such chart-based reckonings
only give one a reference point on which to act.
It is not foolproof, especially in this age
in which everyone knows about TA.
Thus, 'bear traps' and 'bull traps' are also
easily encountered...
Huh 3.05 no short (i mean for me), I will not short at the bottom of reversal channel shld it tick upwards. Already there was 3.24 one day last wk i should hav taken it when watching live, very gd entry point but it price went down very fast and never looked back.
Olam's been testing this 3.05 support a few occasions since last wk and stubbornly did not break down. This should be the key support. My gut feel 3.03 will be the tipping point for selloff, time will tell soon.

For Olam, ideally, 3.19 would be a very meaty and juicy price to short... but that is provided it goes up to that price. Just from the look of things, tomorrow will be the best time to enter a trade for this counter. Today, it closed @3.05. Many will definitely be shorting this one tomorrow. But then, many will also buying @3.05. In view of the present world situation, I have preference for a short though... but I will cut as soon as I am proven wrong...

Okay then my iPunter expert, throw u a technical qn. Can u look at Olam's chart and tell me where is the Next trend heading? gaecia not very clever at all, need your powerful foresight in chart reading skills for pointers.
Of course it won't be just trending sideways because ultimately it will still trend in a specific direction (up or down) over time, right? |

You should learn to be 'technical' in your investment.
Stocks go up and down all the time.
Simply 'picking stocks' is not good enough.
Even if you have picked the right stock,
but at the wrong time and the wrong price,
you may have to waste a lot of time (sometimes months)
for it to go down, and then back up again.

Euro slide gathers pace on debt crisis fears
The euro has dropped below the $1.30 mark for the first time since the middle of September, as fears over the eurozone’s debt crisis continue.

If you only had 10k to play with.. how would you play the stock market in this current condition?
I know im holding on to 2 stocks that are losing a couple hundred.. i dont mind losing some more but i dont really know what to do even if i liquidate the stock. Please dont take it as i'm complaining.. just asking around for some friendly advice.
If you think i shouldn't be in the market at the moment if i can't handle it.. i'll take it positively also

What is "Panda"? I don't get it.
What I mean is, for example you have bought a stock and it goes down, then that is obviously a bad trade, then you should sell it quickly. The reason is that if your analysis was wrong you must not hold it Similarly for shorting too. Holding can make the mistake bigger.

During the early days of computers, people think that the paper industry is a goner.
since computers can store a lot, and paper is thus little needed.
But it soon turned out that, rather than diminishing, paper use sky-rocketted...
because people do more printing because of computers and printers.. .

I am not a good teacher... plus, I have no patience. But I don't know that much. My trading is the simplest thing of all... I always admit that I am easy to be wrong. And when I am wrong, I simply dump away my mistake quickly. I don't waste my time on trying to prove I am right...
