DJ MARKET TALK: Cosco Likely Up On US$110M Bulk Carrier Orders 12/2/2010 8:29:00 AM 0029 GMT [Dow Jones] Cosco (F83.SG) likely to get boost from orderbook expansion as shipbuilder's unit Cosco Dalian secures over US$110 million worth of contracts to build 3 bulk carriers for European, Chinese shipowners. Vessels scheduled for completion in September 2012, January 2013. Deals largest since 3Q10, add to string of orders for bulk carriers clinched by Cosco in recent months, should help shares retrace part of 5.9% decline to date from 52-week high of S$2.19 set last month. Stock +2.0% at S$2.06 yesterday. Still, Cosco's ability to sustain operating margins will be closely watched given expected pressure from firmer CNY vs USD, higher wage costs, rising China interest rates. Shanghai and Hong Kong are all part of China.

I doubt Shanghai will plunge, but just be aware.
