It can be done at $3 even your sell quote is at $1.7.

What if current price is at 1.60 and someone wants to buy at $3. So someone has to sell at $3 in order for the bid to go through? If l am trying to sell at 1.70, will l get to sell this person at $1.70 or $3?
Hi, buying and selling is subjected to queuing in the open stock market, first come first serve. If person A wants to buy 2000 shares of a stock at $3. The SGX system will match it with the first seller in the queue that is selling out at $3. If this first person is selling out only 1000 shares at $3. The system will then go to the second seller in queue to sell out the remaining 1000 shares to person A. Hope this helps?

a n b. D institution could be making an error trading during pre-closed period. Worst the burger done it during non cancellation period, ie after 1705. Btw 1705 to 1706, they lost 3-4 m liao.
U may short the burger if u see the $3 Q price, provided u hv the higher no of Q px n happened that u were monitoring this burger under market depth, even after closed at 1700.
OK, who made the most, brokers n other institutions, though they may oversold it as too many buaya around to catch the bates. Ha ha, after paying the fine for short sell without buying in, they still earn mah.
Generally institution making mistake in trading, they hv to bear the consequences. On the other hand if broker or TR making wrong entry, they may get waiver.

hahaha... dream on... even if closing suddenly surged! Then again provided able to sell off tomorrow morning at around the closing price to profit loh... else it's only 'paper profit'

Could be an institution piu chiu i.e. cock up at the last min - trying to shore up STI by pushing Capland up, but didn't withdraw the order fast enough before mkt closure.
Something similar happened to UOB sometime back, last min slamdown 400 lots with price change of -80 cents.
Sekarli 2000 lots want to buy Capitaland one but computer press wrongly. Just kidding.

knn seeing the price of this my dampen my day.. what hell man...
Yes... bec I have been holding since last week when I enter at 1.49, then retry at 1.46. Then it still drop even capitaland and others up. So got alittle panick even though I am very sure this counter will rebound soon just that bec im play contra. So time is working against my trade. Therefore i exited at 1.43. There after I retry at 1.39. But didnt follow tru and exited at 1.42 to cover some loses earlier..
Not enough capital is a pity. Bec there is too many time, i just miss out by abit. Playing contra time and entry price is very impt.
My yanlord, when i enter at 0.5
My straitasia, when i enter at 0.805
Now all flying..but i didnt earn much bec i always enter the counter too early n by 3rd day if it still have not go in my favour, i start to panick liao.
Sorry for my long story, but at least today still consider heng, as im manage to catch the sembmar at 1.56. this will make up my loses on capitamall
