MACD and Williams are both lagging indicators.

By the time it gives you a direction, I'm already 3 steps ahead of you.

I beg to differ. MACD, Williams all showing reversal.
Only thing is the volume which is still low.

PS: I did  not long or short this counter. No holdings right now.

Sorry, it's support at $12.16 and $12.00.

The most common reason for people going " pok! "

is that they rely on indicators, eg. MACD, MA, SMA,

EMA and even VMA (Very Mean Average).

This is because all these iindicators, except the last,

can only be applied to the world of the tangible

eg mechanics, science, quantitative study , etc...

Stocks are a different ketttle of fish altogether... Smiley

Yes, it's safer to short DBS than Buy it.

Resistance at $12.63 and a strong one some more.

However, DBS is pretty close to its support at $12.60 and $12.00.

If can breaks these 2 supports it can falls to $11.15

Maybe can range trade between  $12 and  and $12.5 for 3% margin under this enviornment ...  You can compare the stupid report from CIMB in 1 mth time, if it is from the same person then that person need to be grilled for the quick change in his analysis :)

CIMB reports in 1 mth :

21st Sep : CIMB downgrades DBS Group (D05.SG) to Underperform from Outperform, after cutting its FY11-13 earnings estimates by about 7%, mainly due to lower non-interest income and higher credit costs. The house lowers its target price to S$11.90 from S$16.56, now based on 1.0X CY11 P/B. " We are wary of the new credit cycle and DBS's exposure to China's export sector. We also reckon that DBS has the most room for topline slippages, as capital-market activities slow and interest rates stay low, providing de-rating catalysts." UOB (U11.SG) is now CIMB's top pick in the sector

16th Aug : DBS remains our top pick amongst the banking stocks. In addition to the expected growth from its India operations, DBS is reaping the gains from its Hong Kong/China presence. In particular, we like it for its attractive valuations.

Any comments abt DBS?

is it a true industry faulty in such case.

this afternoon, when the last dealt price for DBS was 12.07. suddenly the buy Q at 12.03 then 12.01 very quickily but the Q for sell is 12.04/12.03 and no trade dealt and when things became normal, I saw the low price was 12.01. follow up speedy straightline increase to 12.40.

someone is manipulating this counter all the while, but how could it be coincided with the fell to the lowest in such confusion in the PCs. (it's not only one broker firm but it's said to be industrial faulty)and bounced back immediately. didn't pay attention to other counter but only DBS, was other counters affected, did you notice it?
