Shares of Singapore-listed Chinese shipbuilders Cosco Corporation <COSC.SI> and Yangzijiang Shipbuilding <YAZG.SI> rose on Thursday after UOB Kay Hian initiated coverage on the Chinese shipyard sector with the two firms as its top picks.
Cosco shares were up as much as 2.4% to $2.11 on a volume of 6.5 million shares. Yangzijiang rose as much as 2.7% to $1.88 with 5.6 million shares changing hands.
“Yangzijiang, a leading builder of containerships with a good spread of European, American and Asian ship-owner customers, is our top stock pick to play the containership contracting wave,” UOB said in a report.
“Cosco is a good proxy to a global recovery in offshore oil and gas spending,” it added. The brokerage has a target price of S2.50 for Cosco and $2.37 for Yangzijiang. It has “buy” calls on both firms and a “market weight” rating on the sector. Cosco said on Wednesday it had secured contracts worth more than US$110 million ($144.2 million)to build three bulk carriers. The contracts will be effective after it receives the initial deposits from the European and Chinese ship owners. |

genting hk, buyers came back
Today I hammer a lot liao...this is just my trading experience... true last 2 week is the best time to buy in...buy on dip... As now is bull market mah... ppl will know that 1st quarter result will be good...when start reporting in Jan it will rally loh... But remember this word... "if u wait till u see Robin, the spring would already be over" by Warren Buffett...

why mid dec? US market will sell their stocks during Dec, so last 2weeks will be best time to buy in. if i hold any counters now till then when the profit taking takes place, then i will see my holdings drop in value. should i not buy at the profit taking session rather than buy now and hold?

I think u should be more confident or attend more course... I think u really selling cheap on GenHK le... recent high is 0.53....a correction of 20% (0.53x0.8=0.425)....Support at 0.41... I think u really selling cheap.... remember 3rd Quarter yoy on GenHK, it posted from losses to hefty profit... Nothing to worry loh..

cosco also got more buyer than seller.
i think you should not do any trading now....
wait for BT course to start...... market will not run away, there will also be another chance to enter :D

another thing i observe too.....
normally do not sell at 10:00 to 10:30...... because most contra people will sell at that time.... normally after 11 am clearer. or slight higher gain.
not sure if BT said or some other expert said that.....
why mid dec? US market will sell their stocks during Dec, so last 2weeks will be best time to buy in. if i hold any counters now till then when the profit taking takes place, then i will see my holdings drop in value. should i not buy at the profit taking session rather than buy now and hold?

ok, i got my mom to change all the pw for our poems account liao.
i going to start a new bank account to auto transfer 50% of my pay into another account where i will have no book, no atm card for it.
thats it! the last straw. i lack willpower to resist the temptation
