Pl check again, i dont see any H& S in both the daily and wkly charts, though it's true the indicators are turning down. Very confusing is that since morning, buying pressure is stronger than selling.

Some shareholders say the dividends is too small, but some may feel at least there is going to be  some yields for their investment to stay vested.  Directors have promised to give and have acted.  Of course paying too much dividends when a company is growing is sometimes not advisable, so I think that is why only 1 cent per share.

Today all eyes turn to Genting Sp full year report announced last evening.
Everyone watching to see how the bbs want to play this counter.

Fourth qtr net profits of S$262.042 mil compared to prev $150 mil loss, good or bad is in the eyes of analysts.

Full year net profits of S$1.019 Billion compared to  prev $37.76 mil profit, good or bad is also in the eyes of analysts,

We got no eyes to see whether big profit or big loss. Whether the company or the group make 10 billion dollars  do not affect us, we just  buy or sell.  Lol.

Genting Singapore Announces dividend! + given top rating by Moody’s and Fitch
Singapore, 22 February 2012 – Genting Singapore PLC announced today that it has sought, and been accorded a credit rating of Baa1 by Moody‟ s and A- by Fitch Ratings respectively. The investment-grade ratings are the highest accorded to any gaming company in the world today.

The quality execution of Resorts World Sentosa (RWS”), the Group‟ s flagship, was cited as one of the key drivers for the ratings nearing completion this year, the integrated resort in Singapore has low development and execution risks.

On the financials, Genting Singapore holds one of the strongest balance sheets in the gaming world today, supported by stable cash flow, a strong regulatory environment and the growing economies of Asia. Genting Singapore Chairman Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay said: “We have always been known for doing rather than talking, but I am extremely pleased that the ratings highlight what the Genting
name has been synonymous with for decades - disciplined financial management, strong execution and track record in developing destinations.”

In a separate announcement on its 2011 performance today, Genting Singapore declared a dividend of one cent per share. The payout from the main board listed company on the Singapore Exchange comes just two years after the successful opening of RWS.

Tan Sri Lim said, “Genting Singapore is at a green shoot stage by any standard. It is a growth stock. However, this is a gesture of our appreciation to shareholders for their support.

" With RWS nearing completion and preparing for its Grand Opening this year, our shareholders are asking „what next?‟ I‟ d just say that we are continuing to look at strategic investments to grow the company.”

For its earnings report, Genting Singapore recorded double-digit growth in both group revenue and EBITDA numbers for 2011 compared to the year before. Group revenue for the full year exceeded three billion dollars at S$3.22 billion and for the first time, Group net profit crossed the one billion dollar mark at S$1.01 billion. EBITDA margin was 52 percent.

Mr Tan Hee Teck, President and Chief Operating Officer of Genting Singapore said‟ : “Since we opened RWS in February 2010, we have been continually enhancing our products based on guest feedback. We expect RWS to realise its potential as Asia‟ s number one destination resort in the short to medium term.”

RWS' last two remaining hotels, Equarius Hotel and Beach Villas, opened last week on 16 February. World renowned spa ESPA, the Marine Life Park and a water theme park are scheduled to follow by the end of 2012.

" At the Group Corporate level, Genting Singapore‟ s efforts are focused towards identifying, evaluating and investing in new projects that provide revenue growth and net income streams to the Group. The continuing uncertain economic climate also presents some potentially attractive investment opportunities,” Mr Tan said.
