Hi Guys, wondering why this counter is falling today?

Good yield of over 5% when our inflation is around 3.3%.  Beats the inflation anytime. TRUE VALUE stock. Cheers.

UMS Holdings’ 4Q net profit soars to $9.1m Tags: Ums Holdings Written by The Edge    Monday, 24 January 2011 10:58 Share this Digg Del.icio.us StumbleUpon Netscape Yahoo Technorati Googlize this Facebook Export PDF Print E-mail UMS Holdings has posted a net profit after tax of $28.7 million for the financial year ended 31 December 2010 (FY2010), and declared final dividend of 2.0 cents, raising its total payout of 4.0 cents, its highest ever. The Mainboard-listed strategic integration partner in manufacturing and engineering for front-end semiconductor equipment manufacturers said its strong performance was powered by the successful shift in product mix since FY2008 to higher-value semiconductor systems instead of reliance on components and spares. The FY2010 net profit compared with a net loss of $24.3 million in FY2009 – at the height of the global financial crisis – which included a $20.0 million goodwill write-off. Reaping the fruits of its strategic shift since the crisis, UMS’ FY2010 revenue soared 173% to $129.0 million from $47.2 million in FY2009 as the group benefited from the ongoing trend of Western semiconductor giants outsourcing operations to lower-cost Asian countries. With the continued robust industry demand, the Group significantly ramped up production of semiconductor systems to a major customer, whom it has been closely working with since FY2008. Semiconductor component and systems revenue grew 199% to $119.2 million in FY2010 from S$39.9 million in FY2009 while Contract Equipment Manufacturing revenue rose 34% to $9.9 million in FY2010 from $7.4 million. With the relocation of a major US customer to Singapore, Singapore has become the largest market, contributing revenue of $69.8 million in FY2010, up sharply from $5.6 million in FY2009. US and Other regions contributed $39.0 million (from $31.3 million previously) and $20.2 million (from $10.2 million), respectively, over the comparative periods. UMS’ 4Q10 net profit soared 692% to $9.1 million from $1.1 million in 4Q09, outpacing 4Q10 revenue growth of 99% to $33.8 million from $17.0 million in 4Q09.

SIAS Techncial Comment

The stock price for UMS Holdings Limited is currently doing very well. It broke out of its base and consolidated around the $0.550 - $0.580 range, setting the stage for further gains. A breakout of $0.580 would indicate a target price of $0.750, its historical resistance level. Support stands at $0.500.

Short-term momentum is going strong as MACD continues to tick higher. The bullish outlook is confirmed by the 14-day stochastic which is now at 89.58, the top of its range.

Long-term wise, the 200-day RSI is at 60.32 and MACD (250,120,90) is at a positive region, signaling a strong market ahead.

With its long-term uptrend still intact, you should be accumulating the stock as we expect an upside potential of 30% at the current price of $0.560.
