With the anticipated weak market on Monday, we must be very concerned if the share price may drop back.
The Company should be riding the waves of the booming industries in marine, offshore and onshore oil and gas industries with the centre in Singapore...and should be placed correctly in the same catrgory as BH Global. Being an independent company, not affiliated to any shipyards, should place the Company in a better position to tap the business from all the rest of the yards in Singapore and Batam in particular. And under normal circumstances, we can expect its financial performance much better than 2006
Has anybody heard any announcement if the Company has recovered the outstanding receivables S2.4 mill from Enernorth or from the Receivers?

Yes I've heard the similar story hence my interest, assume they've took a lease on the place ? & hired their own workforce ?. They appear to be starting out slowly, I too understand its nearly finished.
No idea how this will reflect in 2007 results, impossible to know if there were start up costs, or is the project within budget. As I mentioned in another Oakweel thread recently, if I remember they nearly went bottom up a few years back when something went sour, cannot remember details.
Recently I was in Thailand and was informed that Oakwell is reportedly undertaking a sub-contract for a mid-section of a vessel. This is under construction at the Thai Naval Yard in Sattahip. Does anybody know if this contract has been completed? Would this completion has a significant impact on the financial performance for 2007?
For many years, Oakwell has been in the business of servicing the marine and offshore industries in Singapore and beyond. They supply explosion- proof electrical fittings, lightings and cables...and also chemical injection packages for oil production platforms
Hope we see better days as stakeholders of the company in the coming months
Yes indeed high volume today, so long it can maintained at around this price and break through 0.18 anytime from now onwards and this share will peak soon.

Yes it did well this later afternoon, hope it keeps it up, when you look back every now & then much increased volume peak like today, wonder why ? the only thing I can see is the AD line is about bottomed out.

Has this stock finally woke up, or is there no other cheap penny stock left to chase ?, it never seems to get the broker reviews or attention to wake it up: one wonders why when the oil field / marine sector is booming ,

Friends i do not think its time for oakwell. There are many more better counters were you can make your study and then buy.Be careful, and try to stay away from boostful rumors.think twice before you buy or sell.i have also made mistakes.Be careful.

Oakwell had been mentioned for quite some time ...but still stagnant around 0.165 ...may not be worth the wait
