alot of rotation plays going on. counter not in play today and close at 9.5 cts

on volume of 21.6 million only. Once other counters quiet down, this one will

be 'in play' again.

Hi tea,

Not saying anything :p... Just something to think about.   The proceed of the sale is larger than market capitalization even at 9.7 cents/share.

Hypothetically speaking, if I am super rich and I buy up the entire company at 9.7 cents/share ($64.8mil) , when I sell the distribution business i get back 10.5 cents/share (70mil) which is more than what I put in to buy the company which means I got the company free plus got paid 0.8 cents/share ($5.2mil) for my effort... make sense ??

Or I could get a bank loan of 64.8mil to buy the company and when I sell the distribution business for 70 mil, I use the proceed to pay back the bank and pocket the extra 5.2mil.   And I now I have extra 5.2mil cash and a business to run... hmmm.. something smells too good here.. lol.

What is the value of Oakwell ?

Price/share = (10.5 cents/share from selling subsidiary) + (value of remaining business= ??)

                                  =  10.5 cents + ?? = > 10.5 cents

The question is how to value the remaining business, i.e. engineering and procurement for the Oil and Gas industry and shipbuilding.

So, is the closing price today (9.7 cents) cheap ?

Oakwell is selling it's subsudiary for $70 million.

This is equal to 10.5 cts per share based on Oakwell's 668.3 million shares.

Currently Oakwell is traded at 8 cts per share which is 2.5 cts lower than what it get from the sale of it's subsidiary.

Pls refer to their annoucement on the 21st aug 2013 in sgx.com.sg for details.

my guess is it is likely to move up above 9 cts before end oct or early nov, so long as

there is no hiccup on the completion of the sale of it's subsidiary. For your info in case

you miss it, the company is selling away it's subsidiary at for $70 million which work out

to be 10.5 cts per share. The deal is expected to be completed by end oct 2013.

Pls read their annoucement on 21st aug 2013 in www.sgx.com for details.

Close at 9.8 cts on volume of 223 milion shares. Traded on a low of 8.0 cts and a high of 10.2 cts.

Now that it has run up so much, and is quite close to the cash they (Oakwell) are getting, the risk is

now higher. Do trade carefully.
