MACD is no good. Channel looks ok. William is oversold, moving towards upper region.
Up to you. Maybe can wait a while due to poor market sentiments.

metal price may hinder its profit margin. moreover, can it handle further orders as lack of platforms for the works. clients may sw coy, as demands are imminent.

CIMB raises Keppel Corp target price to $13.70 from $13.20, reiterates Outperform call. Broker says recent order momentum in Singapore offshore & marine (O&M) sector has been impressive, outlook bullish, driven by high oil price, equipment shortages; "we believe the growth cycle could extend beyond 2012." Raises Keppel Corp's order win assumptions for FY09-FY10 by $500 million per annum to $4.5 billion, $3 billion, respectively. New target price reflects higher earnings estimates for Keppel O&M business, partly offset by lower assumed value for Keppel Land to reflect recent earnings downgrade due to weakness in Vietnam residential market.

As DJ now is rebounded around 80 pts, weather seems fine, hope can last till 2morow. Will further confirm CO price later, as son now watching EU cup, couldn't get inot Text.

With order books stretching to 2011, there is no reason for KepFels to do a karmakazi in price to win another order.

This new order is for a semi submersible drillng tender (SSDT). Key word is 'tender'. In the O&G terminology, 'tenders' are logistic support units. The SSDT is not a drilling rig but a rig to support the drilling rig.

Deck space on drilling rigs are usually very constrained. So, the drilling tenders serves the function as a 'warehouse' to store things like drill pipes. Accomodation units are also part of the drilling tenders. Link below may give you a better perspective of  offshore semi sub rigs.

It's worrying that KC is getting lower and lower contract values for semisubmersibles. Is KC expecting steel prices to fall dramatically soon? or Is the lower contract value just for constructing the shell part of the semisub only?

Does anyone has more detailed info to explain the lower value.

Keppel wins another Seadrill contract worth US$160 million

Keppel FELS Limited (Keppel FELS) has secured a US$160 million contract to build a repeat semisubmersible drilling tender (SSDT) for Seadrill Asia Limited (Seadrill Asia).

Scheduled for delivery in first quarter of 2011, the drilling tender will be built to the KFELS SSDT™ 3600E model. The KFELS SSDT™ series is designed by Keppel Offshore & Marine Limited’s (Keppel O&M) R&D arm, the Deepwater Technology Group.

When completed, the latest unit will join Seadrill Asia’s fleet of six other KFELS SSDT™ rigs, built by the Keppel O&M group. Keppel FELS is presently constructing the sixth drilling tender of this fleet, West Berani II, for delivery at end 2009.

Mr Tong Chong Heong, Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of Keppel O&M said, “Keppel has been working closely with Seadrill Asia, formerly Smedvig, to construct their highly specialised fleet of drilling tenders since 1994.

“The KFELS SSDT™ series of tender rigs have served our customer well and are operating successfully in the Asia Pacific and West Africa regions. We are very pleased that Seadrill Asia has affirmed our enduring partnership with this latest order. We look forward to strongly support them in building a quality fleet.”

The KFELS SSDT™ series is designed to operate in deepwaters of up to 5,000 ft alongside Spars and Tension Leg Platforms.

The latest tender rig for Seadrill Asia will have further enhanced mooring capabilities to suit the demanding requirements of offshore South East Asia. Similar to West Berani II, it will also feature a crane capacity of 250 tonnes, four mud pumps and accommodation for 160 people.

Keppel FELS has also collaborated with Seadrill Asia’s parent company, Seadrill Limited, on four KFELS B Class jackup rigs, which were delivered on time and with good safety records. For the yard’s outstanding performance on these rigs, Seadrill Limited awarded
Keppel FELS with another two repeat jackup contracts just last week.

“The Seadrill group of companies are esteemed customers with whom we want to further entrench our partnership. The steady flow of projects entrusted to us by the group attests to the irreplaceable trust and confidence we established over time between Keppel and Seadrill,” said Mr Tong.

AK_Francis, why you suggest SIA better?

Fuel price hit USD140 already.
I think SIA would have alot of pressure keeping cost low, due to sky rocketing fuel cost

Singapore's Keppel Corp wins $385 million rig order from Brazilian firm
Tuesday June 03, 2008 05:42:24 EDT

SINGAPORE, Jun 03, 2008 (Thomson Financial via COMTEX News Network) --

Singapore industrial conglomerate Keppel Corp said Tuesday its unit Keppel FELS Ltd has secured a $385 million contract from Brazilian drilling contractor Queiroz Galvao Oleo e Gas (QGOG) for the construction of a semi-submersible drilling rig.

The rig, to be named Alpha Star, will be delivered in 2011 and may be deployed either in West Africa or South America.

Keppel FELS is currently building another rig called Gold Star for QGOG. The Gold Star contract was awarded to Keppel FELS in August 2006 and is expected to be delivered in the second half of 2009 to support the oil exploration projects of Petroleo Brasileiro.

Sorry for the late reply.
was playing Golf in Batam.....

Alright.
it is NOT appropriate for me to name the warrant to BUY.
But rules of warrants trading stays:
1) buy warrant that is near it's strike price (if better, over the strike price)
2) DO NOT Buy those expiring within one month.
3) Buy those heavily traded warrants.

The above three rules will ease you from being heavily manipulated by market maker, as you know market maker still has to make some money after all.

Hope without answering your Qn, I did shed some light on your query.

Congrates to those who entered today and Hanged on.
Tmr surely will GAP up again

flatfoot, can u recommend a warrant to buy to ride on the bull?  mothershare too expensive to load.  prefer warrants as they are cheaper to buy, thanks.

Mark my words.
As I said before....look for re-entry points and this bull will RUN.

End of June there's a delivery for Ensco.
Wall Street analyist would be around covering the shipyard.

Looks like it, there might be one more contract for yet another semi-sub.

Stay tuned
