The following two initiatives are expected to improve the return on Yangzijiang core shipbuilding business.
Upgrading of vessel offering to secure more orders
It has started offering larger vessels such as the 10,000-TEU containership and the 64,000-DWT bulk carrier.
The capability to build large vessels puts Yangzijiang in the same league as South Korean shipyards. It is also offering energy efficient and environmentally friendly features.
1)Lowering cost of production
From five yards (Old Yangzi, Changbo, Zhongzhou, New Yangzi and Xinfu), it will downsize to two yards.
All vessel construction will be rerouted to its New Yangzi shipyard, which has a production area of 201 hectares. Zhongzhou, which was a yard for fabrication facility, will be used for non-shipbuilding activities. Activities at the Changbo yard will be halted. This will lower manpower and electrical cost.
Old Yangzi, its 20-hectare old yard, will be used for its foray into a property development.
2) JV with powerful property player
It announced a 50:50 joint venture with established property developers affiliated with Shenzhen-listed Jiangsu Huaxicun to develop the land and the nearby coastal area into high-end residential buildings.
The China Huaxi Village is a powerful property development group with strong ties within the Central government .
The project should sell well, as the Old Yangzi sits on prime waterfront district facing the Yangzi river with luxury bungalows in the vicinity. The local government is already building a Historic Shipyard Theme Park on the surrounding land parcel.

Yaya, shipbuilding wun recover? Have you even been tracking the import and export and manufacturing index of major economy? Recently there is a report on major shipping line posting lower profit margins, and they are changing their fleets to larger more efficient ships to increase the margins. What does this tell you about the future for ship builders like yzj? More big deals! Do visit sites like tradewind to learn more. If not then please continue to short blindly

Nov world market is in a lot worse state than now. China market coming back strongly now. He must be feeling yzj price does not reflect its fair value at current market condition. And who knows yzj might have bagged afew more contracts from nov till now. I seriously doubt you know what you are doing by shorting yzj. From the threads you replied, mostly is trying to protray yourself as rich and powerful, and offer nothing concrete to this forum in terms of market analysis and company analysis. Mostly blind call to short. Luck can only bring you so far, when luck run out, it also means your $$$ in your pocket is running out too.

so, tmr $1.00. very strange when yzj is 90 cents nobody wants to buy . now 98.5 cents many are saying is cheap. rem cheap can get cheaper. don't b surprise tmr price doesn't move..
I do hope your wallet is as big as your big talks...if result is lousy, will the ceo buy in? And also do you know how cheap yzj and fellow shipbuilders can borrow in china? With cheap loans, they are able to undercut a lot of their peers.
