Oops sorry, i made a mistake. Yes, i just read the SGX announcement section - Shocking! Resolution 9 and 11 is withdrawn! The only reason i can  think of is the 1st quarter of 2007 is so good that the directors are confident that that alone can attract lots of investors? Or perhaps they know that some BB are coming in? Whatever the reason, i hope the earlier bloodletting won't happen again.

Hi Novocaine,

I don't think the share purchase mandate has been revoked. The proposal has been written in the annual report, page 69 and 70, point number 7. That is resolution 9. But  i don't know how was the result of the voting.

Hi Novocaine

U have so much faith in LMA - keep it up!
Just "shocking" for the placement and retail investors to realise that LMA can't even  perform better than penny stocks of "unknown" China-listed companies. Any FA or TA expert out there who could, pse,  throw some light on why an "international"  brand  (which shd  be profitable as from 2007 onwards) has defied fundamentals and gone below its IPO price  after being listed, remaining so for such a long time. It shd break out of its low low price soon?  Any targeted time frame?

hey guys..

I am just clarifying..In the recent AGM they withdrew resolutions 9 and 11 if i am not wrong.

Resolution 9 is pertaining to the share buy back right? Does that mean the share buy back is not in effect? Anybody who attended or knows for sure if they really withdrew it and if so why?

Thanks!

Yup, may have good news for LMA. Especially, the LMA Supreme Single Use.

Based on recent reports from Vicplas (which manufactures LMA Supreme), feedback/forecast is good for LMA Supreme.

And Vicplas stocks recently has a beakout from $0.135 to $0.18 i think ... could be due to their main upvc projects or maybe this LMA supreme (?).

By the way, some forummers have mentioned Vicplas and LMA (I think) are housed in the same location in Jurong.

Good Luck!

The share buy back is an alternative to returning profits to shareholders and increasing value of share..

Thanks Novocaine for the info. That is good, then at least the directors have 1 full year to exercise this mandate and wont't be too constrained by time.

Hi all, just read that the AGM will be conducted on 26 Apr. Also realized that sharebuyback mandate will expire on the date of the AGM. Does that mean that after the AGM (also when share buyback expires), the syndicates will tend to "make a comeback" and try to sell down the price?

Looking at the low volume past month they may have only  started buy back last week: Volume of 4 million shares. Average volume is at 3 million per day. Today only 1.3 mil

Once the program really starts share price should go up really fast..............

Number of shares 580,946,581

10% = 58,094,658 shares : Maximum number to be purchased under buy back program

At current price of 0.58 this would be S$ 33 million. Roughly 1 year profit.

From this announcement I understand that share buy back program is still in progress. LMA can purchase up to 10% of outstanding shares.

Hi

No wonder abt LMA. It is not like Biosensors which has been much risky. Sometimes it takes time (how long we would know) that it is consolidating.

If biosensor camp is shouting for it to get CE Mark, then it is very ironic that LMA which has CE Mark to its products gain so little recognization is that aspect.

It is pity to say that punter for biosensor find it more sexy and thrilling since it is a stent that can be of significant to human life.

Whatever it is, I see the prices of the 2 counters will eventually move in opposite direction. Bio towards 60 and LMA towards 80c. I am buying more to keep for long time. Dun forget the M&A will spike LMA price soon and very hard upwards
