Great blog... very good...

I especially like the part mentioning Warren Buffet and Jim Rogers being both right...
I totally agree with hahaho's view...

People can be right... but often only time frames prove they are right...

Thus, never say someone is wrong...
because tomorrow he may be wrong, but next week or next month, you will see he is right after all...

I like this guy, he is steady, tell you exactly what stock he buys each day, record down what stocks he sells each day, also what stocks he is holding currently.... by looking at his past transaction, can tell he earns quite a lot... definitely a TA guy...  some people might just follow him , buy and sell, maybe also can make money, a har..... guru will tell you never ever follow people blindly.... but like i see his past sales, i think he is pretty good shape, ha ha..

cool steady guy... hardly see people revealed every single details of their transaction... respect him holding AIG & Las Vegas Sands, both are in my wishlist.. don't know where is the good timing to collect yet but........ will see...

Interested in Making Money In Stocks? Bookmark This Website…

If you’re interested in making money in stocks, regardless of your political leanings, you should bookmark the following website - and visit it daily. It’s a link to the most recent SEC filings.
  • The first thing you should scan for are Form 4 filings. For a refresher on why, consult my friend Alex Green’s recent column on tracking insider trading.
  • The next best thing to insiders backing up the truck is institutions doing so. And that’s because numerous studies confirm heavy institutional buying almost always leads to excess returns in future months.
  • In other words, follow the “smart money” and you’ll often profit, too. And thankfully, we can easily monitor institutional purchases (and sales) via Form 13-F filings.

You see, the SEC requires all money managers with over $100 million in assets to disclose their U.S.-traded stocks, options and convertible bonds each quarter. And yesterday, Soros’ hedge fund firm, Soros Fund Management LLC, made its holdings public.

Turns out he increased his stake in one company by roughly 16 million shares, or 74%. And since April, he’s more than tripled his stake in this company to 36.8 million shares, up from 11.4 million.

Petrobras - The Best Play for Investing in Crude Oil

The object of Soros buying is none other than Brazil’s state-controlled oil company, Petrobras (NYSE: PBR). It’s a wise investment in my opinion. In fact, I recommended it to Oxford Club members last month at our Chapter Meeting in Managua, Nicaragua.

Here are five reasons why -

hate to add this piece of pessimism .... but then that's in the news anyway .....factor this in too ...

Soros sees no bottom for world financial "collapse"

NEW YORK (Reuters) – Renowned investor George Soros said on Friday the world financial system has effectively disintegrated, adding that there is yet no prospect of a near-term resolution to the crisis.

Soros said the turbulence is actually more severe than during the Great Depression, comparing the current situation to the demise of the Soviet Union.

He said the bankruptcy of Lehman Brothers in September marked a turning point in the functioning of the market system.

"We witnessed the collapse of the financial system," Soros said at a Columbia University dinner. "It was placed on life support, and it's still on life support. There's no sign that we are anywhere near a bottom."

His comments echoed those made earlier at the same conference by Paul Volcker, a former Federal Reserve chairman who is now a top adviser to President Barack Obama.

Volcker said industrial production around the world was declining even more rapidly than in the United States, which is itself under severe strain.

"I don't remember any time, maybe even in the Great Depression, when things went down quite so fast, quite so uniformly around the world," Volcker said.

There seems to be going on an unmistakable morphing of the existing order globally in the world,
the financial world in unprecedented dismaying turmoil being the most felt manifestation of this.

The scale of it have reached  somewhat 'spiritual proportions'..
Things and events are unprecedented...
perhaps some form of 'divine' help may be needed to tide the world over...

Trust in the most trust-worthy is not worthy anymore (as recent news all over world in the past year can testitify to this)...
And business cycles may not repeat their past patterns...

Since it is said that capitalism itself can be malleable into many creative forms, it is left to be seen what eventually will come about...
but things look rather bad and depressing right now ...Smiley

Many believers accept the broad seven deadly sins or 'capital vices' laid down in the 6th century by Pope Gregory the Great and popularised in the Middle Ages by Aquinas, and by Dante in The Inferno. These are:

  • Lust: Excessive thoughts or desires of a sexual nature.

  • Gluttony: Over-consumption of or overly indulging in anything to the point of waste.

  • Sloth: The failure to utilise one's talents and gifts.

  • Anger: Inordinate and uncontrolled feelings that can manifest as vehement denial of the truth or self-denial, or generally wishing to do evil or harm to others.

  • Pride: The desire to be more important or attractive than others, failing to compliment others and excessive love of self.

  • Envy: Resentment of another person for having something one lacks, and wishing the other person to be deprived of it.

  • Greed: Excessive acquisition of material goods.
