Yah, I can also imagine people who buy at 0.30 thinking it was $8 1 year ago, and confident sure win, and to their horror goes down to 3c and then chiong 500% to 15c and u still lose 50%.
goondoo.. need not to be too pesismistic... the crash creates opportunity to gain more in the long run...
the stock that dropping to few cents, and suddenly rebound during the bull market are surprisingly crazy, like Jade, Mediaring, you name it... but definitely, Cosco is not like them la.. if Cosco can drop to 0.10, you must really laugh, and quickly buy and keep it..
afterall, Cosco was 30 cents ++ last few years only.. of course, it still can drop if any bad news arises.. can you imagine those people bought at 30 cents and let go at 8 dollars? waa... huat man..

In fact my gut feel tells me COSCO single handed pull down the whole STI and shaken the confidence of the entire investing community today. STI was about 130 pt up, when COSCO suddenly plunge pulling down all the marine stocks and then all other blue chips and STI lost 80 pt to close only 50 pt up.
I'm not trying to spread rumours on COSCO.
Who can predict that AIG will fail 1 year ago? AIG was in the Dow Jones Industrial Average. Fortune 500.
Balance sheet looks good now, does not promise survival in the future. I thk I will only trust Singapore blue chips from now on, China and U.S. blue chips can drop 90% within a year. U just need 1 off balance sheet item to bring a blue chip company with almost zero gearing into negative equity or even liquidation.
COSCO collapse almost 20% in a day when there is a global super bull run indicates serious problems with the company.
I fully agreed with you about China Stock. I lost about $20K on Sunray when I exited at $0.13. Now it's trading at $0.02.

Check Cosco's laster quarter Cash's position, you will know that Cosco got sufficient funds to pay up their loan. They got 1billion hard cash in bank. Their repaybale loan only consist of 10% to 20% of their cash on hand.

History has so many eg. AIG, China Aviation Oil...Who can be sure it will not drop to 10c?
Maybe next time will fluctuate between 10c to 30c? buy at 0.69 still lose forever.

never mind, I even cover back my whole biosensor capital by my favourite 1 day holding stock of Morgan Stanley, I got more than 100% returns in just 1 day, money not even give to POEMS yet... ha ha ha... I have to admit I sold too fast, maybe today up to $21 ..

Always be on the safe side unless you got lot of $$$. I was tempted to buy at $1. Thank to all of you, I will now wait for $0.55.

Really suay. I was tempted to get in also but when i see today STI already up 130+ pts just now, i doubt it will cheong blindly as im very sure ppl will off load when its at its high.
Nw downgrade to 0.55! Abit low.. Just now goes under $1, which i tink not bad. But miss it, see if later got chance anot. |
