Genting Sp are using the perpetual bond to tender for Korea and Japan or any other opportunity arises - Integrated Resorts or Casino license.
They need a lot of cash in hand to show before they can even tender. So until the license come to reality Gensp has to spend at least 1cts per share each year to service the cash in hand.

The perpetual bonds actually provided G13 with chunks of cash to do work for the company. If put to good use the cash can generate compounding benefits to the company. If not put to good use, it can kill the company as well even though they don't have to pay the " debts" but only the interests. Can they double the money or earn 10 to 20 percent from the money derived from the bonds? If they can, then it will help the company to expand exponentially. The concept is only good for gambling companies and banks, as they make money like printing it. Other types of businesses should not attempt to raise money this way as the system might even destroy them.

Well, actually, i am waiting for Genting SP to do rights issue again. However, this time they issue perpertual bonds.
They have a history of issuing rights every 2 years...
Too bad, genting issued the divivdend too soon...
they should have kept that as retained earnings and they do not have to issue more perpertual bonds..

Maybe you are right in terms of globalization. That is why Genting Sp said they are doing that what with so much money from the perpetual securities issued there is no place under the sun that they don't think of going as long as respective governments want the money that could be generated from gaming taxes.
Genting Sp is obviously a good long term buy for price appreciation. For short term, where you are looking for yields, maybe its good to sell the shares partially and buy the perpetual secs for its " coupons" or interests..

Genting SP. I love this stock when its $0.80. too bad, bought and sold too soon. I think if you some spare cash, LVS traded in the NYSE is better buy. in the gaming industry, whoever has the bigger cap has the lead to built bigger casino. LVS is looking into Spain. a lot of ppl think its bad but think its a good bet as many Europeans can go to Spain and splurge oanoandnhopefully holiday. Not many European travel to Asia to casino theme park or states.Hopefully, it bring a little spark for Spain in the tourism industry. but LVS is priced expensive, look for dip before buying.

$1.80 before Friday, this is what I think, but don't say WOW! so soon already $1.80! Because it has been waitng for about two to three months quite a long time since. Vested a little.
u have to take a longer term to see that... vested.
