wah... brandonharrist, I have to say you got guts man!
Long position!
fools rushing in now. hahaha
can short only if u have CFDs, day short is too short to short.
Coming ...
I will long if high volume convincingly pass psychological 0.9 barrier
Did anyone manage to short this? Major bleeding today.
from the daily chart, first support is at .86 to .865 (the high of the gap up on 29 Dec). People looking to long can look to buy at around this level.
well, today is Friday which is normally a day to close positions. Which means people who bought last week will sell to lock in their profits. Shortists on the other hand will ride the selling wave to push prices lower. however, price could be off day's low in late afternoon for bargain hunting for next week trading. Somemore with CFD accounts, shorting is much easier nowadays.
i didn't manage to enter the counter today cos the price drop from the start. i expected some group of foolish investors to try to pick up a "bargain", before I enter. but apparently, all so smart.
sigh..
Hi chipchip66, how the shortist do the job of shorting, what price they short for example for Genting and how they know the price will fall so that they can buy back at a lower price end day? By Luck?
giantlow, congrats, today will be shortist day to trade!
congrats elf. the counter drop from the start. no foolish pple to rushing in to prop up prices temporarily.
YEAH..:(... 3/4th Jan were the best days. Looks like now, shortist turn to enjoy.
heart broken the dream is not continue any more =(
Hi elf/fellow forumers
care to elab what are the different cat? Is there a way to tell how much of the days trade are naked short - covered as well as not covered. Gen is a stock clearly manipulated and overbought... (i usu consider a stock to be seriously o/b or o/s when confirmed by BOTH rsi and williams - pl correct me if this is wrong thinking)
Also I've heard from a forumer in CNA that when SGX do the T+4 buy in @ 2 bids above it does not buy from the market. Who does it buy from then - brokerages? This one i am clueless.
Thanks
Cup and handle situation?
elf. SBL refers to Securities Borrowing and Lending a/c.
yes. 1 category of big boys might have exited but another group of foolish retail investors might rush to enter b4 the 2 category of big boys exit.
1st major correction for Gen Int'l, px will go in to consolidation, px is also in over bot suitation, so ask again is it over sold!!!, any further fall from here??, correction and consolidation is in progress, mean while in just a few day , pls pay up, if not force sell coming in.... A/C can get two weeks kena stuck with (no trading for ppls A/C that get stuck), then what, don know how to pay up. Play or pray hard for px to go back to $1.20c, any rebound maybe giving some ray of hope, may not be so real. I tink it is going rough and going to be a raw deal who ever venture. Count ur-self lucky if one can get out now.
Take care and with Best Regards.
[Dow Jones] Genting (G13.SG) +14.7% at S$1.17; share price has more than doubled in last 2 weeks on very high volumes. Local dealer says, "either the SGX or the company needs to clarify the situation as someone most know what is happening." Adds that rumors of an investment by Temasek highly probable, but need to be announced soon as situation "getting a little out of control". Orderbook suggests resistance at S$1.20.(JEM) ...it's still RUMORS! :-)
yep, need a CFD acct. (what's SBL?). nah, stay out of it then. huge temptation yes, but not worth to me. don't know about intraday, but am pretty sure it'll drop from opening to closing tho.
i think i said it in another post somewhere: at least one category of the big boys have completed/will soon complete their trades on the market (pls don't ask source etc). The rest will follow. I'm serious here.
If you want to track if its Temasek: find another counter that they bought into recently. See their buy patterns (vol, time, price range). compare it with Genting's. If it's similar, it's prob them. 'cos people move in familiar patterns; they can be traced. Don't personally think temasek will buy genting at $1 plus tho. not unless there's some info we don't know.
but hey. look at it logically. who benefits the most if genting's share price increases? (never mind the drop aft, since they'd have sold it by then)
that's all i'm saying. :)
