In term of bad markets where long or short also die. It not advisable to play even short term under market big swing uncertainty, u just wont know what happen next weeks or next days. This is a tips for expert, new bird and blur sotong dont even try it, i dont think u got much chance with normal skill. And it is an intra active play. In a coming fresh bad market news, with lots of shortist take advantage to short more. U had to catch them when they trying to cover their short. And i call it, catch the short strategy.
Eg, i will find a very active counter for this play, it best to had a big swing of 10 to 20c+ if bad news come and where shortiest start to action. U had to know wheather thats bad news is a short or prolong ones, dont play the wrong side. U had to think like a shortiest but act like a police when they covering. And U must understand that counter px swing well in order to play it safe, if not u r looking for trouble.
Eg i see Genting been short or sell down to the lowest of the days from 1.70 to 1.60. and suddenly see action start to buy in, i know some r trying to cover their short. And when others see covering 1 by 1 and suddenly more trade coming in, u know shortist r rushing to cover it, the last one to cover will lose their profit or lose out the game. When i see px start to covering at around 1.610 i will jump in to buy at ask px(depend on vol in bid/ask) (it best to see px covering before 4pm, or some even earlier, u had to feel the movement). If px still not covering after 4.30pm, i think u know maybe no short or no covering for today. And if px reach to the resistance of the day, u had the choices to sell or open it for the next day, to leave it or not depend how serious the news that why i said it take skill to play this.
For this strategy, u got the chance to load at the lower px before px totally recover, and u got the chance to hit and steal with some nice profit everyday(if u lucky). U r not shorting, so if good news comes u only see px shoot up more at your favour. And if shortist rushing to cover short, px will shoot up even more till u shoik. Those i write is just a Example, everyday is different and every moment got different better advantage play.
Thats why i said in a siao market, Either U play the market or let market play U. In siao market where only trader and shortist dare to play, u had to know whats they thinking. Somtimes U wonder why in a siao market often why px shoot up so much, all market problem ok liao? And next day u jump in to buy and suddenly the px drop like shit so fast until u cannot tahan then cut. And after when px goes up again, ya, bang head times. Wall many hole liao, everyday bang wall as hobby.
This is just a example, dont think is a sure win formula. This is just a small play in certain market condition, is an option, not a big return play. Just treat it as an information :)

Maybe i sometimes too free and boring liao, and i know i at times also talk many rubbish. Sorry to some if i poke your post, no harm, just fun :)
When U learn until nothing much to learn all these long years and pass through the market cycle all along, u will understand how i feel toward the market.
All these is not from books, most can be learn only by real life market exprience. And i can tell u that if new bird kanna the real stock crash, they will cry!
Nowadays new generation market is very hard to play, u must be the shark or be the foods, u must chose 1 if U want to join in the games. No ones care for U.
I give tips because those tips to me is nothing, but with damage control tips given, not bad also. There r always next lvl of play out there many just wont understand.
Sifu's valuable tips are very good...

I agreed that company dont drop like shit. Unless company going to bankrupt liao.
Only stock px will, company is maintain by it management but px is play by all investor and speculator around the market.
Some company got good fundamental but at a rotten px and some rubbish company with sick fundamental is at a better higher px.
But in term of each player view, most investor will look into fundamental more and others gambler and speculator mindset will like to play active px more.
No matter how good a company is, dont fall in love from high px to sai px. If want fall in love, love the right px by getting in and out at the most favorable times.
What is buy and hold to me is dont love all the way from high to low. But to buy and love at the px u love most, from low to high at the right times and right market condition.
