mr savvysamyeo, read with interest your disectations on K1 and Gil. Need your comments on the followings:-                                                                                          1) like to know more about your preference of Starcruise over GIL, meaning in what ways Starcruise will turn out to be a different and more potent animal after the GIL-Macau's-Starcruise complex restructuring?    2) with the US$ weakening in the coming future, what about the associated risks buying Staircruise which is denominated in US$?  3) generally speaking, what is the reasons for any low priced co. owned by Asians and listed in the SGX to be denominated in US$ after all the local S$ is strong. well backed and riskless in a way for locals. Cases in point are Starcruise and Evergro.  Thanking you in anticipation. Regards

S'pore CNA 93.8 Live.

Stanley Ho will not have stake in S'pore IR, Resort World. Said a spokesman for Macau casino tycoon. Look like BBs still vested here (to maintain it px) and small fish is left to hang around a dollar plus plus. Price pressure here, With  it px range $0.975c to $1.03c trading range today with a vol of 90.2m shares changed hand. Seem likely it is going to get a little bit more into trouble water ahead, just sharing my tot. holding power is still okkk.. punting ?? Yes still good to punt, buy to hold and wait-it seem not so good as STI is climbing higher, the fall will be even greater, so just stay alert and trade with care. Not vested here.

hohokit, I am a longterm portfolio manager and as a creed we always are on the lookout for multi baggers irrespective of pe's and nit picking financial ratios at the initial stage of a definite growth stock like GIL and StarCruise. To us management and capability to realise high growths is paramount. You cannot deny that the Genting group and their potential partners in Macau are reckonable people. We are talking about fast track to World class enterprises here, and if you are a bit longer term at these prices with the market valuing them like penny stocks....why not? My opinion, GIL has had a longer trails of stale bulls for the time being, but StarCruise is our prefered choice now that the force sellings is probably at tail end and we are nibbling now. Good luck.

hohokit, if your info. is definite and reliable than of course this is a positive development for GIL. Many bigger funds target index stocks and it's inclusion in the STI will put it on the radar screen of many foreign funds. Despite the volatility now with many short term punters caught in GIL , when the restructuring of GIL, Star Cruise and their Macau ambitions become clearer -  I expect there will be funds buying in as this is a significant stock so closely linked to S'pore's economic vibrancy and the exciting linkages with Macau which if consummated successfully, is actually a door to the huge Chinese clienteleship. In the longer term it will be no effort for GIL to surpass $2 and beyond. Notwithstanding all the analyst nearterm calls of overvaluations the fact is this stock is a definite blue chip in the coming. I might like to comment that the 25% stakeholder in Macau ,StarCruise is also very interesting, for out of the final restructuring in this very complex deals StarCruise is going to emerge a very different and more potent animal. Take note of more developments to come StarCruise is not only benefitting from only the positive effects of GIL but will also be affected by the success of the other IR at Marina Sands.

So those who wish to buy say $1.03c and above or miss this px, then can oso buy at higher px if U must, as for those who bot liao will let go to (they) take profit, eg is those who bot high (a chance to let go liao) as for U, can U wait for the next round for px to be up again in case px turn out entering position at the wrong time, buy with ur mean if U must, mean while happy trading. Merill Lynch is still the best pricing so far stood at $0.95c from a buy to a hold, good for punting oni.

tink tink is less then GES weight factor (incidentally GES in delisted) i mean such a big co given so less weight. it can cheongg..1st co's of those BBs, say to $1.10-$1.20 range, but then ppl take profit if they bot at a lower px and those who bot at higher px w/o having to pay up, oso may let go in order not to get their $$$ get stuck, then px maybe down a little after that, just my tot.

Just a different interpretation of ML's report. Previously most houses had Genting's Fair Value pegged around 80c - 88c. So ML's valuation is actually higher than most of the others => it is now well supported at 95c according to ML.  Having said that, I agree that Genting most probably will not cheong in the ST unless influenced by new catalyst or external factors.

Merill Lynch released a report that Genting fair value is 0.95.  So trade with cautious.  I dont think Genting will cheong in short term, got to hold.
