Eh, hard to short when trading has been halted.....
Also, better to wait to see what the announcment is about. If it's positive news, you will be shorting yourself.

Speculator, win - take ur money, lost pay up, don know Tues will open for trading or not.
If halted longer, many more players lost, lost, mati liao.
trading stocks is all common sense..
if there's more n more brokerages having trading restrictions on the stock..
do u think there will be more participants fueling a rally in the stock?

Yup...The music is not over yet, selling pressure can continue as scrap is not lifted, think margin calling too.

Trading Halt is probably due the following reply made to SGX query on high trading at the end of January.
" However, the Company had on 4 January 2012 informed shareholders that it is currently pursuing its
right under a first right of refusal deed to acquire land development rights in relation to an area in
Myanmar, known as Star City. The parties are still in the process of negotiating the terms of the
acquisition. The Company will make an announcement as and when it is appropriate in accordance with
the rules of the Listing Manual.
Further, the Company also wishes to refer to its announcement on 17 November 2011 regarding the
proposed restructuring of the Company’s interest in the Grand Central project in Dalian, the People’s
Republic of China. The Company had on 26 January 2012 received in-principle approval of the draft
Circular from the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited, subject to certain terms and
conditions. The Company is in the process of finalising the draft Circular and targets to despatch the
Circular to shareholders in early February 2012.
Due to the recent political and economic reforms in Myanmar, the Company continues to receive general
queries from third parties regarding the Company's business activities/investments in Myanmar."
It could all well be positive. I especially like the last line. JV or even takeover ?

Trade restrict by UOB KH one brokerage only huh, other brokerage got restrict or not, if not, check why uob restrict.

REstrict a stock no need SGX aproval? hmm.............
