IMHO, YZJ is good for long. Not shorts. Might end up losing alot more for shorting. Not worth it.

I think BBs haven't finished loading.
I have warned the frogmaster in my previous post, BB can manipulate the market price such that novice traders will think it's a good opportunity to short, while the BB are actually slowly loading from those shortists, i.e. BB are already shorting at higher price and covering+accumulating when those novice shortists are doing their job.

Asian shares edged higher on Thursday after upbeat manufacturing data from major export market China.
The HSBC flash purchasing managers' index (PMI) rose to 51.9 in January, the highest since January 2011 and above the 50-point level that shows accelerating growth in the sector from the previous month.

We must be grateful to the frog master, without him we are not able to pick up at such low price.
Actually the Seaspan news was release in dec last year in China website where 4 x 10000TEU will be awarded to Yang Zi Jiang at 360Million USD, they are still negotiating on the 8~10 years chartering service, maybe that is why it is still not annouce in SGX.
Even china itself also will drive the ship building industries, eg. Guangxi Beihai city building the criuse, this is also builded going to build by Ship builder in Qing Dao

Sorry I might have jumped the gun here as in seaspan website it only lists 3 x 10k teu in the orderbook. Might be part of the original 7 orders i guess? My bad.
Wonder what is the selling price. The original contract covers the option to acquire 18 additional units, rumors has it that Yzj will reduce the $100M per unit price in order to close the deal. In any case, some sales is probably better than no sales given that Yzj is very creative in reducing cost and generating earning from diversification.

Shipping industry as a whole is only beginning to recover. First the liner, then the maintenance, then the ship builder. Currently there is probably still an excess of ships. YZJ is unique because it has
- Strong balance sheet
- Diversified Portfolio
- Advance energy efficient technology
- A CEO with great business acumen
- Powerful and willing Co-investor (check the various JV)
- Extremely low cost structure
In all, YZJ should weather major downturn and bounce back up better than its peers.
Glad we have shorters here because
- they bring down the price so that I can buy more
- when the stock shoot up, they frantically cover their position and the prices rockets higher.
Lastly, to claim the shorters bring down the price is simply a joke, prices are market driven, market is sentiment driven, price move in accordance to market sentiment. Period.

Yangzijiang Shipbuilding (YZJ). YZJ fell 7.3% on 16 Jan 13 after the shipbuilder planned to issue 330m warrants to raise net proceeds of about S$18.15m for general working capital. The warrants were issued at Rmb0.3072 (about S$0.061) each with a strike price of Rmb7.617 (about S$1.50). On the same day, our institutional research maintained BUY on YZJ with a target price of S$1.43 and suggested buying on weakness. YZJ could be subjected to dilution should it trade above S$1.56 (S$0.06 warrant cost+ S$1.50 exercise price) when the warrants are being exercised. Technically, the stock could be well supported at above S$0.97 and the potential resistance could be at S$1.08 should prices attempt to close its falling window.
