Yup. I got mine too. But I don't intend to sell at this moment.

Based on my TA, this counter is just at the start of the uptrend although it may not be accurate because this uptrend may be caused by the share buyback.

So stay sideline and observe for a while first.

Hi 01101749, bonus shs already credited this morning to yr CDP a/c 9am.  You can start selling them.  Maybe that's the reason why shs price fell today for this counter - excess supply

Overbought is because of the share buyback, hence no immediate risk of downtrend.
Rather, the buyback will stabilise the price.

However, do agree to take profit whenever possible as market is still volatile.

i dun think ezra board is so dumb, usually share buy back to treasury is becoz they foresee a high potential in rise of the shares value thus buyin when it is cheaper and it allows them to use as collateral for loans next time.

2nd, to remove the free excess float aka cornering the shares. thus px will not dip as much. as in raffles education case

3rd, the main shareholders wanna cash out from the co. and this is the legal way to push up the px and sell at higher px. quite dumb but it make sense when the Fundemental of the co changes.

4th, nothing to do just buy back.

and lots of other innovative reason.

Share buyback is a good way to give value back to shareholder.

However, I alway feel that its also because the company has lot of cash and do not know where to invest or expand, hence, the no-brainer is to do share buyback.

Dear all, I posted this in CNA forum as well:-

Ezra bought back a total of 2.811 million shares over 2 days (today and nov 7) for a consideration of S$9.364 million, thus reducing the issued share capital. The shares will be held as treasury shares.

Assuming the company has excess cash, they should continue to buy-back shares to enhance EPS for shareholders.

I see this as a positive move for 2 reasons:-

1) Management will only buy back shares if they have enough cash for operations and fleet expansion. This implies that Management are holding on to sufficient cash reserves and can deploy some for share buy-back.

2) Enhanced EPS - As mentioned, lowering the outstanding number of shares will only increase EPS fo shareholders, ceteris paribus.

Today's price surge may due to share buyback at high price.
