Lol, sifu doe not like the word betting, I understand that.

But playing the stock market is all a matter of strategic betting... Smiley

Sifu, I don't think betting is a good idea. Even if at 50/50 chances, how many times can you win in bets?   Stock market does not depend on luck like betting does.  To try one's luck, it is better to put some money with Singapore pools. At least when you are unlucky you lose little, but when luck comes, jackpot in several thousands (4D) and several millions (toto).

hmmm.... I am surprise you say that..... BB can manupulate the counter easily..... There are mini BB who thought they can do it by shorting down... not selling what they own.....

Anyway, those who short..... Take care.... Run before it is too late.... lol

There's no such thing as 'press down'...

When a big boy wants to get out, he/she will of course sell gradually...

this is common sense... So we can't say that he/she is 'pressing it down'...  Smiley

When some people press down genting too much, genting will rebound double the press down..... Just be prepared to put on your safety belt to ride on Genting..... Enjoy....

There's no need to view the stock market as a place of battle.

It is best to simply treat it as a place to bet.

Thus, we have the casino, the turf, soccer, and stock market...  Smiley

The market is also like a battlefield and those who apply strategies will always win.  Banks and large institutions including the brokerages can be seen to apply battlefield principles.  We know of suicide bombers who sacrifice for a cause.  Banks and these institutions don't have to die to commit a virtual suicide for a cause, that is only kill players but not themselves since they live again when others are dead.

But no matter what arguments are put forward, it is important to respect the market.

The market is the way it is because it is the market. If we don't respect the market

for what it is, it is pointless to blame anyone or anything when we lose a lot of money ... Smiley

Sifu pretending? Pressing down can be the result of first blocking the rise with large lots by the those who want to see the share go down.  Then " ask" and further block down the price bid (cent) by bid (cent) to achieve the net result of downing a price.  The opposite of such acts obviously are to up the price. Only big players (meaning banks, brokerages and hedge/shorting funds) could do all that, but not retail or small investors.

Institutions who do these tricks are risking their own shareholders' money and one day " they will have it" . Hahaha.
