Market is so dead now. I think the number of traders in the Singapore market is very little now.

SGX volumes are almost non-existant.  ZZZZZzzzzzzzzz

Now I've stopped become active trader in Stock Market.  I more like to be a long term investor.  Tired with current market, and the gain is not so much.  All speculations are just speculation.

Need fast money for life ... I have been aging ... so trying to be effective Smiley

dear honourable giantlow,

my apologies for creating this confusion in u.

no, my chart is not a reply to ur question. hope some forummers can could answer u.(thinking if elfinchilde could shine some light on the matter ..hahaha ! )

perhaps u could also post this query in the ' shorting information ' thread as this relates to shorting.

... my spreadsheet below is actually the journal i am keeping on the paper trade of forex britishpound/usdollar....i felt like posting the journal after reading the materials (Daniel's blog) in the 'shorting information' thread... as i have more or less concluded that my i will avoid shorting after a few attempts on 'paper shortings' on forex ...and with intention of sharing with any newbies the idea of keeping a crude journal and paper trading ......hahaha !

yours humbly ..

this is an Entertainment thread ...

as far as I understand ...this thread is something like a resting lounge ... water cooler junction .. where non-serious , light-hearted subjects are discussed  in a mutually friendly way  among fellow forummers ...

I just now this thread also for Forex.

Hi baseerahmed, I see ... you are bleeding  Smiley ... even though you win arround 50 pips, it will remove all your capital fast before you can earn.  we usually never pass 30 pips for loss.  and in forex .. winning ratio is the most important thing rather than earn a lot of pips.. Smiley

OK lah, with so many ppl's encouragement, I shall short YZJ big time this coming Monday. Then evening close trade and get down to Suntec to book a holiday to Fiji Islands with my family. That is in one condition that YZJ becomes a submarine at the end of the day. If it fly instead, I shall be selling my OIL & my little GOLD...lol!!!

well said, farmer. life is more than just routines. most singaporean work too long and too hard, sometimes, we need to get out of our routine for a while. like me, playing with fire, learning how to trade in stocks, intend to pick up some TA, maybe later oil and gold and so on. just bought a small lcd tv with my small profits (beginners' luck i guess) though my ferrochina still in the red. well for all shifu out there, pamper yourselves with a nice watch, tv, holidays (natas fair right now) if you make big profits, and that will help you to work even harder and happier i guess. pardon me for talking too much, me and my big mouth...Smiley

Come on! Life is more than Work-Sleep-Family cycle. Dun u feel bore? There must be some other excitement and enjoyment you'll be happy to do other than making $$.

How about doing some sports or exercise to relax and de-stress? Or simply take a stroll in the nature park in the evening to breathe in some fresh air? Take a holiday or make a trip to place of interest more often?

Any other good suggestion anyone?

agree with singaporegal abt the ratrace here, and that in other places, you are closer to nature. Singaporeans have lost their touch with the land...

idesa does have a point tho; in the rush for wealth, not to just throw it all away and 'whack'. fastest way to die in the market. haha. calculated risk is very different from just whacking, though...you punt only with what you can afford; not your entire fortune.

idesa. don't even need 3 mths. i'm having job ads shoved under my nose already. (-_ -") ....sigh....emigration....sigh....haha. see how lah. i don't wanna rush into any decision. not young anymore. can only afford so much time. gotta be more careful this time around. altho, i guess my problem is not lack of choice; it's too many options, all of which have their pros and cons.

Hi idesa168,

Nowadays, it is advisable for working adults to continue to upgrade themselves. There is a huge difference between working 20 yrs ago and working in the present age. I can list a lot of reasons on why it is different, but I do not wish to write an essay. To summarise, you cannot count that you will be doing the same job for the rest of your life and pray that your company will take care of you till you retire.

It is possible to get rich in most professions, provided you are working for yourself. It is best to analyse your character and through Holland's career theory, you can find what sort of jobs will be suited your personality.
