hi leaner, thanks for sharing the news. does it mean the price will open higher tomorrow? i've been holding to the shares for quite sometime and i've been tempted to take profit when the price go lower and lower...

The Company is proposing a renounceable and underwritten rights issue (Rights Issue) of up to 120,700,000 new ordinary shares in the capital of the Company (Rights Shares) at an issue price of S$0.30 for each Rights Share (Issue Price), with up to 120,700,000 free detachable warrants (Warrant), each Warrant carrying the right to subscribe for one (1) new ordinary share (New Share) in the capital of the Company at an exercise price of S$0.01 for each New Share (Exercise Price) on the basis of one (1) Rights Share for every two (2) existing ordinary shares in the capital of the Company held by the Entitled Shareholders (as defined below) and one (1) free Warrant for every one (1) Rights Share subscribed.

 

SMB United sold off their stakes in Occulus and promise to reward their own shareholders due to the profits gained from the sale. So as a SMB shareholder I would like to thank Occulus buyers for providing us the cash. Me vested in SMB but not Occulus :P


 

 

If you are serious about the energy deal, then you should look into similar company like Asia Power. To pay RMB700 for number of MW....is just way to high compared to what Asia Power paid for similar acquisitions! Also, the company is very low on cash and do not have the experience to run Power Plant!! 32c will be too high is just way too high... Asia Power is only trading at 35.5c and it already has hydro plants with a total capacity much larger then the Oculus Proposed acquisition!!!

 

Despite falling day by day, I am still holding tight to my oculus because I'm confident the energy deal will be successful and I have the holding power. I know of many who looked at the awful charts and cut loss or sold and hoping to buy back at 32.0c.

It will be interesting to watch oculus these two weeks after a series of disposal and transfer of shares and warrants among substantial shareholders and Executive Chairman SGX reply that the new energy plant would start to generate revenue from next month which means news will be forecoming on whether the deal is closed soon. Good luck and huathuat!

 

The price went up to 40c and reversed gear within a minute shows that there were many sellers waiting to unload immediately whenever the price surged a bit.This is not surprising as the counter has been overbought for more than a week. Hope that the news from Reuters could encourage these impatient sellers to hold tight while the price rise to near 50c in the next few days or so.

Oculus said on June 25 that it had entered an agreement to buy a hydropower plant in China's Hunan province for 700 million yuan ($92 million) and the Business Times said the plant would contribute 80 to 85 million yuan in revenue each year. "The market feels a bit lost today. The Business Times article provided a little support for the stock," said a local dealer. The former contact lens maker, which sold its core business in February for about S$5 million ($3.3 million), told the newspaper that it intends to turn into an energy company, starting with the acquisition of a hydropower plant in China.

Look like selldown is not going to stop or something bad is coming as more major shareholders have unloaded their shares in Oculus. They include Global Ariel and Ariel S'pore.

Selling has started last wk...from last Mon23 Jun to Thurs 26 Jun  (4days) before the calling stop on Fri where index pickup  +9 points, so coming Monday can safely do a select bagain hunting. Where do ah Pek and Ah Soo know all this selling is over co's SPH publish will be late one. selling has happened liao due to Angmo calling, (see below Quote), my tot tell me Angmo has sold some stocks liao following Citi Grp calling and now selectively buying up some again.
