To me, this announcement is a great disappointment. Similar to the previous announcement, it is unconfirmed and can be called off anytime. I have got rid of my 200 lots and prefer to play with other counters with more concrete plans and of lesser risk. Moreover, the management seems to neglect the small shareholders, keep on placing out shares to the substantial interest holders who are either directors or major shareholders at a discount from the prevailing market price. Good luck to all Oculus supporters. Hope you all huathuat!
OCULUS Ltd yesterday announced a share placement to raise a net $14.9 million. The placement comprises an A tranche of 28.28 million new shares at 30 cents each and a B tranche of 20 million new shares at 32.5 cents each. Oculus said the placement will help strengthen the capital base of the company, and fund the growth and expansion of business
will resume trading at 3:30pm. this is the news http://info.sgx.com/webcorannc.nsf/560dd4b031b97d27482571b20043d38c/12b20d74f78fdcc24825731e002258e3?OpenDocument
is this consider good news?
this counter got trading curb by some trading house, so be careful
basing on the last minute surge and matching deal at higher prices, hope it will be good news.
My guess is to announce the outcome of the energy plant deal or any other diversification plan. Better watch closely, if the energy plant deal is called off, then it's bad news!
anyone knows why trading halt?
trading halt requested pending announcement - good news???
The Board of Directors of Oculus Limited (Company) wishes to announce that the Company has entered into a conditional sale and purchase agreement (Sale and Purchase Agreement) with Ariel Singapore Pte. Ltd. (Ariel Singapore) to acquire 60,000 ordinary shares (Purchase Shares), being 60% of the entire issued and paid-up capital of P.J. Services Pte. Ltd (P.J. Services).
BACKGROUND OF P.J. SERVICES
P.J. Services is a company incorporated in Singapore with its registered office at Loyang Offshore Supply Base Box No 5150 Loyang Crescent Singapore 508988.
P.J. Services was established in Singapore in 1983 and is in the business of providing products and services for the oil and gas production, marine and petrochemical industries. It supplies equipment, design and fabricate pump packages, chemical injection packages, pig launches and receivers and other miscellaneous items throughout Asia Pacific and the Middle- East, including Australia, Brunei, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam and United Arab Emirates.
As at the date of this Announcement, P.J. Services has an issued and paid-up capital of S$100,000. Based on its latest audited financial statements for the financial year ended 31 December 2006, P.J. Services had a turnover of S$8.5 million and a net profit after tax of approximately S$0.1 million.
RATIONALE OF THE ACQUISITION
As the Company is seeking to divest its existing business, it would need to seek new businesses for investment and to continue with its listing status on the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited (SGX-ST).
The Acquisition represents a good opportunity to acquire a viable business that will contribute to the financial position of the Company and its subsidiaries (Group).
THE ACQUISITION
Cash Consideration
The aggregate purchase consideration of S$90,000 for the Purchase Shares (Consideration), which will be fully satisfied by cash, was arrived at on a willing-buyer willing seller basis and will be funded by the Group?s internal resources.
OMG! To pay $90k to acquire a 24-year-old company with a net profit of $100k in FY 2006. Do you think it's good? I am beginning to worry about the usage of funds to be raised by issuing rights cum free warrant.

The TA looks interesting now after 2 days of rise from 31.5c: MA and MA Crossover. 40c is possible if climb continues next week. So those who can hold may want to wait a while and see what BB is going to do.
Since my last post on 1 Jul 07 on distribution of this counter, it has profitted me quite handsomely. Now time to make a review to it...
notice heavy accumultion building up now... with target price of 40cts and rumour that acquisition announcing tis week, the safe bet is buy in @ 37cts latest....
Now that rights issue with free warrants out...it's time to switch to Jade....today's top vol..FA and TA due for breakout....switch your fund for the ride up from 21cts to 35cts...>40cts another Oculus in the making
Based on today's closing price of 31.5c and the free wt with exercise price of 1c, a min. advantage of 8c can be seen. However, prior to the EGM to approve the rights issue, if the energy plant project is ok and more new plans like waste management or property are announced. Then 50c is possible.
As for tomorrow, hard to tell. Some may sell on news or feel that the rights issue cum wt is not attractive enough or BB may try to suppress the price before letting it move up.
We could only keep our fingers cross and hope for the best since we are on the tiger now. Good luck & huathuat!
