And France is out finally...succumbing 2-1 to S.Africa no less.
I like attacking football ... the liquid flow, fancy footwork and all. But if the defence sucks, then it is a cause for concern and possibly early exit.
I hope not having to see Spains under-achieved again this time. Lets hope they rise to the occasion tonite. I very much enjoy their 'touch-touch' the ball glue to the feet play. But look how against the much taller (then effective heading is difficult) fortress Swiss defence ... how Spain succumb to frustration.
Over defensive football kills the beauty of the game.
