good point. when dow up, sti worries that it will drop next, thus dare not buy in,
so the dow up again, sti worries that it has higher possibility that dow is going to drop, thus fear to buy in
again, more convince that it's going to drop when dow up again thus terrific to buy in.
so, finally, dow down. yep, luckily didn't buy in and thus follow the drop like dragon.
this is sti syndrome nowadays

Why don't BBs from other countries do the same as spore BBs by not keeping shares over the weekend ?

Although there are uncertainty ... we should be alright -
1) Japan crisis is more likely under control now.  - Japan economy might take a hit due to supply disruptions, however it will be minimum. For short term  Suppliers will source components form Singapore, China, taiwan, Korea and US for  supplies.
2) Libya -  Muammar Gaddafi's government will fall very soon (1-2 weeks).  It's no match for the western alliance and  Gaddafi knows that. If he carry on fighting the rebels he will faced death .... right now he is trying hard to negotiate a way out.
Next week. STI might recover some of its loses - Select some good blue chips :P Buy and Hold. Most of our blue chip stocks are not affected by Japan Quake.
BOSAYOR - NO RISK NO GAIN.

The rise in other countries is mainly due to easy money.  We do not have that in Singapore.  In the long run, our market will be more sound than others.  For savvy investors, now is a good time to load up on Singapore blue chips.  Good dividends, strong fundamentals, stable market.  In my opinion, if you take a long term view and choose wisely, it is the safest bet in the world.
Kia su Kia se Kia bo mah. Singaporean motto in life.
STI Bull colour blind one, dont know how to follow other bull. Always lost in the wild.
But fall more than 10% this year, most of stocks price lower than 2008 financial crisis!
Really don't understand STI market!
Too many " clevers" and " fast runners" here!
