But if you buy more lots, then your average amount will be cheaper. Only then can you take advantage. But your risk is still there if you have to settle individual transaction.

Anything above $1.50 you need slightly more than 5 cents to make a full round turn break even.   So because our brokerages and associated fees are too " atrociously" high, you cannot have the advantage of arbitrage unless you are the broker rep yourself where commissions will be paid to your credit.   Normally I would buy the cheaper to keep until there is a good profit over time.

I've been monitoring on the Singtel, Singtel 10 and Singtel 100 counters and it seems to me that a significant " arbitrage" opportunity exists.


It appears that the three counters have quite a significant difference in prices daily. For e.g, as of today's closing price (16 Mar 11), Singtel 100 is at $2.94 and Singtel at $2.90.


Does this mean that I can make an instant profit by buying 1 lot of Singtel and selling 10 lots of Singtel 100?
