I'm turning bearish on this one.   It did brilliantly for a while, a three bagger.   But the second half results were awful, and they should have been great.   No cost control.   Perhaps Mr Fong too busy collecting awards for entrepreneur of the year!   Just look at how solid Challenger was in comparison.   Sometimes the tortoise beats the hare.

This counter too exp for me at this px value. It goes up so much  because purely on apple product. If apple got any bad news, i think it will jump building. Just my view :)

Epicentre hitting new highs following Apple results, and we haven't even seen the iPad and IPhone 5 launch yet.   Along with Challenger, these two seem to have the wind behind them.   Any views?

Interesting the way that Challenger and Epicentre are both holding up so well in this brutal sell-off.   Challenger was even up 2c on Tuesday.   Feels good.

Earnings up 158%.   EPS of 5.05c for the half year alone.   If you annualise it, the stock is on a PE of 4.0x.   Plus 38% of the market cap in cash.   For the first time, the company paid an interim dividend, of 1c.   Never fall in love with a stock, but this one is doing its best to look beautiful.

When a person loves a stock, it is always a good buy.

And it becomes an even better buy if it drops after he/she has bought it high,

and will even buy more of it.  This also applies to any other stock too. .. Smiley

I don't know so much about Epicentre, the leading Apple retailer in Singapore, but the stores are always packed, Apple products continue to gain more and more credibility, there will be a new iPad and an iPhone 5 to be released soon, and the company is building new stores in Singapore and China.   Market cap is $40mn, historic PE is about 11x, and prospective PE to June 2011 is about 7x.   They had a positive surprise statement released on Feb 7th, and they have 25% of the market cap in cash.   Seems amazingly good value and interesting to me, but would love to get other views.

The Board of Directors (the “Board”) of Epicentre Holdings Limited (the “Company” and together with its subsidiaries, the “Group”) deems it appropriate to announce that following a preliminary assessment, the Group is expecting to report a sharp increase in net profit for the six months of FY2011 ended 31 December 2010 as compared to the same period last year.

The Board expects the Group to report a higher profit and this is mainly due to increased revenues from existing and new stores as well as the economies of scale in terms of operating expenses.

Any views on this stock?   Looks set to fly further given the expansion plans and annualisation of new stores.
