Agree by now a terrorists could have kill many more innocent pple's on the street. Rather then for the soldiers to kill more.

It's all about political concern that the red wanted badly to voice out equally opportunties, while d yellow is much fearing for their life and do not want to compromise feraing death is looking at their door step.

This lead to the yellow to push their posted boy turn into a warring warlord, so is his former poor deputy Premier who turn from rag to super rich, so is those stories for other few politicans still hanging around Bangkok

teeth53 thot - Bangkok is teaching the red what is terrorism and terrorist by driving them into under ground. they are expediting teaching to the red. Thai South had their lesson, will the North/North East have one as well ?. Even if the king is willing, his is ailing.

Soldiers can shoot if protesters come within 36 metres of army lines, said army spokesman Sansern Kaewkamnerd, adding more soldiers were needed to establish control.

The government insists that some of the protesters are armed with grenades and guns and showed footage on national television in an attempt to bolster their case.

Many protest leaders now face terrorism charges that carry a maximum penalty of death, raising the stakes in a two-month crisis that has paralysed parts of Bangkok.

Smiles gone, Lives lost, Still nothing is solved. Straits Times paper May 22, 2010.

From Crisis to Crisis. after approving his soldier to fire at will on his approved live firing zone. A killing (field) zone created by the red protestors.

Abigshit calls for reconciliation and a independent prode into recent events. A independent prode will know who approve this live firing killing zone/field. calling and creating a live firing zone for unwarranted killing on unarmed protestors, including two foreign reporters dead.

Will he be the first to answer and be responsible for May 13 Mayhem After all he is the one calling for reconcilition and a indepndent prode, will he or will he not ?.

Will his DPM. stand up and be counted for the charges for April 10 crackdown?.

Deputy Prime Minister Shutup Thaungsuban went to the authorities to hear a complaint against him by 'Red Shirt' opposition protesters.

will an indenpendent prode be fair for all ?. and been given fair hearing by indenpendent proders.

By the way who setup an indenpendent prode ?, be it current then Thais premier.  Right, RIGHT.

Thai troops hunt militants as Bangkok smoulders, , after an army crackdown on their anti-government protest camp that ended two months of street rallies. The toll from Wednesday's offensive rose after authorities said nine people had been killed in a gunbattle at a Buddhist temple inside the Reds' ruined camp, where thousands of protesters cowered in fear overnight. After the terrified protesters were led out through a police cordon, the army said it was not responsible for the deaths, in a "safe zone".

Since the Red Shirts began street rallies in mid-March some 82 people including two foreign journalists have been killed in clashes and blasts, and some 1,800 injured.

In the hearts of most outsiders, the army assualt on protestors is plainly unspoken incredibility, brutality and dire attempt  by abhisit to hold to absolute power, but they just won't want to commit saying all these.  In one sense of disbelief I will not accept that people are killing  own people for the sustenance of powers, perpetuation of rule or for the elimniation of opponents.  Is it for real since this is not a war where killings are unavoidable, or are the army just a machine made of robots, one may ask?

In the warring periods of history, such a situation like this may never last long, because an ambitious neighbour will seize the opportunity to conquer one in trouble.  Luckily we are now in modern times.  We are humane.  Most govts tend to be humane.  Lucky for Thailand. Hehehe.

The political crisis dragging on for so many years have seen Thai people in a terrible shape, esp the poor, more so if they eke out in urban areas for their livelihood. The rich are less affected for money can help them go outside of Thailand to a peaceful life away from the near "civil war" their country is having. I wonder if asean govts are anxious to offer any consultation that might not make matter worse or they have to be tight lips since there is no internal affairs interference as the asean bloc is merely an economic one without tooth for biting on political issues that even could adversely affect neighbours whose geographical borders are contiguous with the troubled member. Sometimes things are not always going along a planned journey in life or in politics.

More info on why and what is happening to Thais.

http://www.smh.com.au/opinion/politics/scheming-king-unwilling-to-stop-the-violence-on-bangkoks-streets-20100517-v9bt.html?autostart=1

The crisis is accelerating. There is a deadline. The term of the head of the army is to expire in September. The current illegitimate army-and-palace-backed prime minister wants to be in power long enough to name the replacement, to keep control of the military. The Red Shirts are determined to interrupt this plan.

King Bhumibol is old and increasingly under question. On his present trajectory, he will leave Thailand deeply divided, with no way out of the cycle of confrontation, in danger of becoming a pile of ruins and rubble.

Peter Hartcher is the international editor of the Herald.

Abigshit await Abishit, for he had given approval, legalized the killing of the no go zone as "live firing zone", as a rersult - for soldiers to think 'live fire zone' means 'free fire zone', especially as violence escalates,"

Thais Premier will has to account for the killing on going into the Live firing zone.
