nasdaq future index

I saw the cnbc showing the nasdaq future as 2964 and last night it closed at 3452.

1)why is nasdaq future having so hugh difference as compare to dji and s& p.

2)how far away is this future(weeks/months)

anyone is able to explain? thank you
