Fresh from acquiring a menswear company, Star-tech is proposing a rights issue of warrants to fund the expansion of its fashion business in China. The company, which is changing its name to Vashion Group, also announced the appointment of a new COO.
Depending on the extent holders convert their existing warrants and convertible securities to shares, the proposed renounceable non-underwritten issue - on the basis of 4 warrants for every 25 existing shares at 1.5cents each - will involve the issue of between 268.2 million and 349.2 million warrants.This will raise net proceeds of between $3.8 million and $4.99 million.
As each new warrant entitles the holder to subscribe for one new share in the company at an exercise price of 4.5 cents, a full exercise will help Startech raise gross proceeds of between $12.1 million and $15.7 million. The exercise is subject to conditions including approval from the Singapore Exchange.
