admin fees quite heavy one. best to sell all if still making some money. invest in stock market better, got dividend and can determine the buy/sell price.
eh.. i dunno, maybe because i'm not in any unit trusts..
but your investment did went through the financial crisis and you came back out with your capital intact..
think about those ppl with lehman minibonds... some of them get nothing due to the crisis?
then think about what happens if your unit trusts were to mature while it was in 2009 crisis?..
It is understood that while u invest, u want to earn, but u note the risks as well.. afterall.. unless they specify its a guaranteed ROI... your capital could have came back out 50% lower p
then again....  maybe UOB / OCBC or any of the other funds might have provided better returns... *shrug* who knows?...
My mom was one of them who also invested in this DBS Triple Happiest Unit . It kind a bit sux to have only $54 dollar as profit .
My advice is to steer clear of unit trusts.  They are structured to benefit the issuers, not the consumer.  9 out of 10 unit trusts are  underperformers.
Sorry, shd be 54 dollars interest.
Just before CNY , I was so happy to have my mature fund, Triple Happiest Unit (T).
But it very very disappoint me which my 20k of investment after my final 5 years waiting time, come to my surprise of only $54
This show me that the DBS investment division have no talent of management. With this experience some of my relative also share the same thinking and
it make my clear mind of future investment ( DBS WILL OUT OF MY DICTIONARY)
