| Did you guys see the transactions after 5pm? Counters like UOL, UIC, OCBC, Genting etc all had a big price gap as compared to the price at 5pm. Any guess? |

MSCI doing index reconstuition. They incease certain weightage of certain stk and decrease certain stk as well to better mirrored the STI. OCBC weightage has been decrease etc.

Yes, very fishy, 10 times volume all of a sudden. However, still bearish chart, with such volume why is the price still never go up too much? The support at $3.42 is quite strong but it it breaks down, dare not think, downtrend will speed up very fast! 
Tomorrow if able to breakup >$3.56 then have some hope, if not, better stay out or short when break $3.42. My personal view only.

Keep away from all property stocks for the time being, esp those with huge exposure to China property like Capitaland. After EU, the "wolf pack" will target China mkt.
UOL - I check trading vol yesterday, the rise is not due to share buy-back - only 137 lots at 3.51 & 3.52. So some other elements in play. Could it be buyers expect Wee CY to take it private? Does it make sense, doubtful.
Not sure anyone of you observe "glitch" like this before:
I have Kepland on my watchlist with My Yahoo! Yesterday night, it appeared as 3.38 as closing.
However, when i checked SGX or Poems, it is 3.4xx.
This morning, Kepland open with 3.46, then dropped all the way to 3.38
BP shares has been droppin go much ever since the spillage. Players buying BP sharess.upgraded from hold to buy.
These two are related company...
UOL also exceptionally bullish today but there is no trend at all, very very risky stock. This kind of stock is not for the faint-hearted, will get heart attack soon. Better stay out.

index reconstituition??
Today happened again with ST Engg. Sold at 3.22 and closed price 3.08.
Capitaland land trading on high vol, so between 5.98 to 6.08 is not so strange. But UIC was stand-still at 2.09 whole of today, how could someone sell down to $1.93 on 666 lots @ 5.05pm?. Both Wee Cho Yaw & another Indonesian Billionaire hv been snapping up UIC since 2008. Hv to be a computer glitch? Seems no sensible explanation.
It happened somewhere in mid 2008 also. I tried to q to sell capitaland at 5.93 at last few minutes, end up it was done at 6.08.
mkt crashed few month after that.

Also SP LAND, mainly Wee Cho Yaw group. For all of them, so far no specific announcement or halt trading news. I doubt SGX dare to query Wee Cho Yaw.
